Very very frustrating

By paul.nortness, in X-Wing

I just got into X-Wing and I have to say…..the lack of expansions available are very frustrating.

All I can find is the Core set, Falcon and Slave 1. While picking up another core set is an option….how am I supposed to add the extra pilots like Wedge, etc?

Really fun game…..but the support really sucks.I would love to spend some money on this game if there were products in stock to buy.

there is supposed to be a re-release of wave 1 ships sometime this month; so probably the next week or 2.. keep your eyes peeled and start talking to local gaming shops for any information they have and if you can reserve any copies or do some preordering

Pal it has been 4-5 months around here that there was no wave 1 resupply. They got victims of their own success, and now their friends from china that paint stuff can't produce fast enough… But i heard the next weeks would bring a wave 1 resupply too

I'm not sure if there are any of these around where you are, but check out Barnes N Nobles. I live in Dallas, and every Barnes N Nobles in this area that I've been to has plenty of Wave 1 stuff and Core Sets. That's where I've gotten all my Wave 1 stuff because they have plenty.

Thanks but i live in Europe, and on top of that i started with french language figs. I took wave 1 in french, by wave 2 i abandoned since it still has not arrived in french here (wonder if it ever will). Also i have no idea if we will ever again get french boosters of any wave again… It's not a problem really but it gets on my nerves nonetheless. Had i known this i would always have bought english from the start…

I recently got 3 A-wings in French from a seller on eBay. so they are around, if you look.

When wave 2 hit, i bought everyhing i would ever need in english, that way i wouldn't have to wait for weeks until the french stuff finally hit the stores and i would never have to buy anything else from wave 2…

But wave1… idk i have placed an order about everything i need in a french online store, and they are at teh ordering step now for 4 months. I would delete the order and get my money back, but i can't find the ships anywhere else (from wave 1) so mighta s well wait until they get them and send me everything!

You bought in late on a hot game. Stock is bought up by not just players but non-gamer Star Wars fans. We have seen intermittent re-supply of ships, depending on location. Some stores cry they never have any while others manage to resupply. broaden your search and you will find them.

Hey man, I'd say you are most definately not alone.

As someone stated earlier FF are a victim of there own success, and we have new players losing interest as they can't get the merch to play games with those who have more than 4 ships.

In Australia at the moment, it is so hard to get anything. Every Online Retailer is out of stock and each have mass amounts of pre orders for wave 1 vehicles. You can't get even dice sets. I've been wargaming for about 13 years now and I have never seen anything as bad as this.

A few places are starting to get a trickle of the starter sets, but nothing else. One of my LGS's got a shipment of a-wings and tie intercepters, but they won't be there for long (I picked up 2 of each).

It's great for those that have a mostly disposable income (gamers who live with there mums) so can bulk buy when product is available, but for the average player like me who has 2 kids, a mortgage and a car loan on 1 wage it can be a bit annoying. The 2 interceptors and a-wings i bought yesterday blew my splash money for the week.

Great Game but production and shipping is crap

It's similar here in Winnipeg. Half a dozen games stores have been mostly out of stock except for starter kits. Hopefully, though, production will ramp up and we'll get ships in.

I did not start collecting until April, after I watched my first battle report. Collecting has been an experience in of itself. So far the only thing I have been unable to find(at a reasonable price) are the wave 1 X-Wing and TIE fighters. I did manage to grab up three of each expansion, get a good start on a storage solution, pre-order wave 3 and the Starfield Game Tile.

At this point I would say to stick with it and keep playing, when restocks arrive it will be like a whole new take on the game.

Please mean to say, "OR gamers who live with their Mums", otherwise I am insulted… I have two grown children, own two cars(paid for), a house with no mortgage payment and I also live on a single wage(with my girlfriend).

Mil Sims have some stuff on hand, but basically the minute it comes in, it goes out.

Defiant have some stuff also to hand.

If you are in WA, a couple of stores have good stocks on hand.

If you are in VIC, Mil Sims store in Melbourne and a couple of others also have good Wave 2 supplies, but a bit short on Wave 1.

Are they online?

I walked into a comic shop and found Y-Wings, TIE Advanceds and TIE Interceptors in the shelf, along with core sets. I've also seen core sets in almost every Target I've been in. So try some non-game store locations; there's less chance of them having been picked over by the gamer crowd.

Australian Targets are not cool enough to stock x-wing

Hey thanks, my local B&N had two X-Wings, couple TIE fighters and Y-Wing expansions …

They now have one TIE fighter and a couple Y-Wing expansions.
