MORE ELDAR STATS PLEASE!

By player359820, in Dark Heresy

Hey Ross and all,

Lets have some more Eldar Stats Please!! I would like to see a Farseer to put with the Eldar from Creatures Anathema.

Actually, any Eldar info would be great!

Thanks!

Is that really necessary? I mean what is a Farseer? A Psyker Eldar. We have Eldar stats, so take those, amp up the Willpower a bit if it seems to low and give the critter a psy rating. And then you have yourself a Farseer.

Wouldn't that work?

//Varnias Tybalt - valiantly trying to spread the DIY attitude :)

A Farseer isn't just "An Eldar Psyker". It's a paragon of what it means to be an Eldar Psyker, unequalled by almost any other psykers anywhere in the galaxy - Farseers are to Eldar Psykers what Exarchs are to Aspect Warriors. Just adding a Psy Rating to a Dire Avenger would make a Warlock (literally - Warlocks are psykers who are former aspect warriors)... not a Farseer.

For a Farseer, I imagine something along these lines would be suitably terrifying (as demonstrated by Creatures Anathema, the Eldar are dangerous creatures... yay!)

Psychic Powers (Psy Rating 6): Note that, before rolling any dice, a Farseer’s Power Roll has a +14 bonus.
Minor Powers - All
Discipline Powers – Divine Shot, Dowsing, Far Sight, Glimpse, Precognitive Strike, Precognitive Dodge, Preternatural Awareness, Psychometry, Personal Augury, Soul Sight, Telepathy, Projection, Soul Killer, Psychokinetic Storm, Precision Telekinesis

Traits: Eldar Seer (see below), Unnatural Agility (x2), Unnatural Willpower (x2)

Eldar Seer: Eldar psykers – known as Seers – make use of tiny wraithbone runes to conduct, store and channel psychic energy, lessening the risk to their bodies and minds. Whenever an Eldar Seer makes an Invocation Test using Seer Runes as his Psy Focus, he may choose to discard a single 9 rolled, plus an additional 9 for every two Degrees of Success. 9s discarded in this manner do not contribute towards the Power Roll, but also do not count for the purposes of Psychic Phenomena – simply remove the die as if it had never been rolled.

Weapons: Shuriken Pistol (20m; S/3/5; 1d10+2 R; Pen 4; Clip 40; Rld 2Full; Reliable), Witchblade (1d10+15 E; Pen 14; Balanced, adds WPB to damage and pen, included)

Armour: Rune Armour (Reduces all damage, even that inflicted in melee, by 2d10+WPB. This is not armour, and cannot be reduced by an attack’s Pen value, and applies even against attacks with the Warp Weapon quality)

Equipment: 2x Shuriken Pistol magazines, Seer Runes (Psy Focus), Soulstone

Threat Rating: Xenos Extremis

Being a long-time Eldar enthusiast (a 40k player's first army often retains some special significance), I've been working on Eldar stats for a while... I thought mine were fairly solid... then I saw the Creatures Anathema ones. I'm scaling up the abilities of all the characters in my Eldar NPCs document to fit the ones in Creatures Anathema, much as I've updated the Lictor and Genestealer in The Great Devourer to fit the CA versions (only fitting, really - a couple of the Lictor's special rules were taken from The Great Devourer in the first place).

I didnt say it had to have a psy rating of 1, now did I? :P

In any case, your stats are quite adequate. Normal Eldar stats, pimped to perfection. However I still suffer from several racist tendencies towards anything elf-like (for reasons unkown... Well not really its mainly because elf-creatures in any setting ALWAYS have to be so ridiculously good at everything they do). Therefore I will smile with glee when I send my angry Untouchable to slay these abominations! muahahahaa!!

The wonders of being a ludicrously skilled diviner... "Oh really... they're sending a psychic blank to kill me... fine, I'll just surround myself with extremely lethal warriors who will shoot and stab it until it goes away".

Other end of the scale, though... the common Eldar Guardian

Traits: Unnatural Agility (x2)

Weapons: Shuriken Catapult (60m; S/3/10; 1d10+4 R; Pen 6; Clip 100; Rld 2Full; Reliable), Eldar Laspistol (40m; S/2/-; 1d10+3 E; Clip 30; Rld Full; Reliable), Best Quality Mono-blade (1d5+5, Pen 2)

Armour: Xeno-Mesh Bodysuit and Helm (All 4)

Something to demonstrate that not all Eldar are ridiculously deadly... just the ones who choose to spend centuries learning how to kill things. This Eldar in question is likely to be a rediculously skilled gardener, painter, muscian, architect or philosopher, however.

Take it easy! My Untouchable is still only on the second rank. I will have to advance him a little first in order to outsmart the Farseer. :P

All the more reason to strike now, before he becomes a real threat.

Ascension might be the place to have those little nasties poke their dirty little xenos-witch heads out of the webway.

If you by "those who play Eldar" mean standard table-top players (instead of an evil Game Master in Dark Heresy), then I find myself suddenly unafraid. I Play Necrons! cool.gif (we've put fear into Eldar for several million years!)

Ascension might be the place to have those little nasties poke their dirty little xenos-witch heads out of the webway.

I'd rather assume that Ascension will give us Exarchs while Farseers will be reserved for the third power level, to crack heads (or rather brains) with Inquisitors, Chaos Space Marine Sorcerers and Lords of Change.

The question with Exarchs and Farseers is what situation are they appropriate to, not what game. Dark Heresy has stats for Unbound Daemonhosts and some truly brutal daemons, after all. One could see a Rogue Trader negotiating for mutual benefit with a Farseer ( or something nastier, see William King's Farseer )or a Farseer and his body guards showing up on a particularly perilous Dark Heresy adventure in order to insure that a particular evil (Necrons, Slaaneshi Daemon Prince, insert uber villain here) does not rise as predicted. This would lend some extra muscle to the players, but make their lives more complicated and possibly much, much shorter. What Farseer would not sacrifice mere humans to save Eldar?

N0-1_H3r,

are you planing to do something with those stats? Is it possible somehow for you to share those stats with the rest of us? I totally loved the 'Nid fanpplement! I would have PMed you with this question but as everybody knows about these forums...
