Can I ask why on such short notice?

i hope no one made travel arrangements like flights and hotels for the original date. if so this would be quite annoying to deal with. poor form changing the date in such a last minute fashion gentlemen.

Yes we took into account the fact that memorial day would be too hectic and such short notice i am awaiting a decision from store owner between either 6/2 or 6/9. It was never supposed to be the 19th. The change was due to some miscommunication between FFG, the store owner and myself, and FFG had informed me that it was too late to change it on the website so they will take it down and it is up to myself to promote it. This is my first time trying to put together a tournament of any kind but that is no excuse and I still take full responsibility for the circumstances. I greatly apologize to anyone who made plans around this date i will have the concrete date within 48 hours.

Again I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused I realize many AGOT players travel for these regionals and make plans in advance. I will be much more diligent about planning and promoting this event from here on out.

I recommend not scheduling for 6/2 because Philadelphia and Connecticut have a regional during that weekend. I don't know what regionals may be happening on the weekend of 6/9, but I recommend trying to use that date so all of us can maximize attendance out of NJ and NY.

Adam is right, though, that 6/2 would guarantee you a poor turnout. Not that 6/9 may be any better; I for one already have plans that day, and with all the other east coast regionals in June (CT, Philly, DC, NYC), I can see players wanting a break. But that's what comes from this kind of last minute change. I, and probably many others, marked my calendar with all the regionals I wanted to attend as soon as FFG released the schedule. I've had May 19 on my calendar since the middle of February. I understand that sh*t happens, but if the event was never supposed to be that day and there was some grand miscommunication, you had three months to straighten it out.

If another NYer comes along, I can make the 6/9 date. Like Vaapad, I have committed to CT on 6/2.

We were organizing a warm-up tournament/league event on that date in DC. I will see if there is interest on this date and we may reschedule our event.

Understood, all criticisms are warranted. I am currently trying to rectify the situation as soon as possible. Again I apologize, although nothing can be done to prevent the problem that has already occured, I will put forth all efforts into rectifying the situation in the best way possible. What of 6-15, would that be better for anyone? Just trying to gauge this as soon as possible.

6/15 is the regionals in New Holland, PA, I believe. June 9 is probably your best bet.

Sorry I meant the 16th. As of right now it does seem 6/9 is best choice because i dont think back to back days would draw well.

We decided that you should bring your regionals kit down to DC to turn our warm-up tournament into a real tournament.
