Familiars and Movement...

It says in the base rules for Descent that familiars' movement are like heroes. Does that mean that they can run every round, effectively doubling their movement?

Familiars cannot choose any action, so they cant run. They simply get movement points to move. They cant do anything else unless it is in their description

Okay, that makes sense and it's what I figured... but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks!
