• Situation: I have three copies of Sitting the Iron Throne in hand, and seventy gold to spend (I'm Lannister after all). How many power can I claim using this event? Three total? Three per card, totaling 9?

You can claim 3 total power. Limits on cards that trigger from out of play are imposed on all copies.

For example, Make an Example says "Limit 1 per phase.". If you have 2 copies in your hand, you will only be able to use 1 copy that phase because of the built-in limit.
