Several question over rules that i believe people are playing bad

By orion_kurnous, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Sorry guys, but i believe that there are several rules that people in general are playing bad, and i like to clarify if its possible, maybe i´m wrong, but i talk this with several players and they said that maybe im all right.

Several question over moribound.

1- In Maester decks, people use pale an Bronze link to catch a attachment an put into play, but the rules said (timing window) that a card dont leave moribound state until the end of the action, and with this you can´t put into play the card because there isnt´more windows until you play another action.

2-When people use the hability of maester luwin and catch a response event, they use this event in the same window, but for the same reason before, i believe you cant.

3-When people use the new guy greyjoy that give you a location in the discard pile and you discard this location in the same challenge with a winter marauders, i believe the same, you can´t,.

4-When people use Harrenhal in a Military challenge that they won to catch a Die by the sword i believe the same, people can´t use Die because it´s in Moribound.

Limit Once per phase and Limit once per round.

Sometime ago somebody told that you can use several copies of the same chain in the same phase because they are diferents cards, but muy question its…It´s the same if you have Several Castellans? or anyone card that it´s limited once per round?, im not sure over the activation of several same chains for the explication of limited per round.

How i can resolve this situation?

hello, this it´s a strange situation, My oponent attacks me with one challeger and i use Horn of dragons and choose the same character (i give him dragon trait), The challenge end with no resolution?. Thanks.

Thanks for all and sorry for this questions!

What do you mean "catch"? I'm having a hard time understanding what you are asking.

take, sorry, im not very good in .English

1. No idea what you mean by catch, no idea what your timing question here is.

2. Yes, you can trigger Maester Luwin, draw an event, and play that event as a response to the same trigger that allowed you to trigger Luwin. Eg; If Luwin had a Mil icon, you win a challenge and trigger him, draw a No Quarter, you can play it to kill an opponents character. This is because each response resolves fully before the next one is triggered. MOribund is not involved in this discussion at all.

3. Here you're right. The moribund card was discarded (moribund: discard) by a response to the opponent winning the challenge. It won't actually hit the discard pile until the action window closes, and by then it's too late to use Andrik to get the location from his discard pile into play.

4. Same question as 2. Moribund isn't involved here - the response resolves fully before you trigger the next response. The card you draw isn't "Delayed" so that it arrives in your hand at the end of the action window.

5. Limited responses are different - they specifically say that you can only trigger one limited response (of any source) per round.Triggers with a limit (eg Limit 3/round, or Limit 1/challenge) can only be triggered on each card once (so you can use 3 Steel Links once each, but not one link thrice). The exception to this is cards from OUT of play (Eg in your hand), like No Quarter. These limits apply to all cards of the same title.

6. Yes, when you steal a character participating in a challenge, he is removed from the challenge. There are no participants, so the challenge ends. Note, if you declared a defender before using the horn, then the challenge would still resolve (and you, as the defender, would win).

Edit: I understand your first question: If you mean using bronze link to take an attachment (say, Steel Link) from discard, then playing it and triggering it off the same kneeling, you're right. Playing it is a player action, and by the time you do, the opportunity to respond to the initial maester kneeling is long gone. However, if you have Bronze and Pale Steel link, you can kneel the charcter, get your Steel Link from your discard, then trigger Pale steel to put the Steel into play on that same Maester, *then* trigger the Steel Link.

Your questions all seem to be coming from the same general idea: thinking there should be a delay for any action to resolve. Moribund only affects cards in play, leaving play. It's also not a delay in resolution - the character still died/bounced etc in step III of the action window (resolution), they just don't leave play until the action window closes.

Ok i put several examples because i would like that this was clear, my first doubt its for cards that discard something and with another card in the same action take that card when that card don´t go to discar pile o dead pile until the end of the action, and with this several players in tournaments do several tricks.

Thanks.
