The campaign I'm playing in just experienced a piece of epicness that I can't quite describe. It shocked everyone, especially the GM, and I want to share this with you!
My character is a Rogue Trader of a very old dynasty named Quinn Hawkins. He's Void-born, and he took over from the previous Rogue Trader who adotped him and made him the heir instead of his Lindsey Lohan-esque daughter (Rival!).
I inhereted a Conquest-Class Star Galleon called the Aquila, which is Ancient and Wise and is a Reliquary of Mars. Started with 21 Profit Factor, a drug addled Astropath, a renegade Navigator, a sultry Arch-Militant, and Jules Pitt as a Seneschal, along with a Heretek Explorator.
The first mission, I proved my skills as Rogue Trader with defeating an Ork raiding fleet and establishing a trade route to the Calixis Sector. I had rescued some of Caligos Winterscale's transports from an attack by some of Aspyce Chorda's ships that didn't expect a Cruiser class ship to be watching them at the time (neither did we - our Navigator messed up). We merely wanted in on the Cold Trade somehow, and Caligos Winterscale gave me a chance. I even met the man himself. I even had to handle an ugly situation with a traitor and an Inquisitor. I murdered an Inquisitor myself for Winterscale.
We've been playing this campaign for awhile, and I've been trying to get cozy with Lady Armengarde's daughter, but she wouldn't talk to me, until a few weeks ago. We're 38 Profit Factor.
Anyway, I'm rank 3, and Caligos orders me to go to a meet with one of his men to meet with an Eldar pirate named Elisiad to introduce a xenos drug into Calixis. After a masterful interaction scenario, Elisiad murders Caligos's man, who he thinks is with the Inquisition, and makes a major deal with me. I swear, our GM never saw Scarface before. I jumped on it!!!!
I went for the LIMIT! Calligos tells me that I'm out of my mind pushing this much junk into Calixis. I told him we can find a route throught the Halo Stars (which, we already did) that nobody knows about. Then, after I was schmoozing with his chicka, he decided he had enough of me.
Tonight! His ship and two others tried to ambush the Aquila. But I was ready for him, more than he knew. I have a Teleportarium, and a hyper-loyal crew that is almost Elite. After taking out his two frigates, I went after the Cruiser. I beamed over, and challenged Winterscale to a duel, and KILLED HIM!!
My Arch-Militant said, "I want your baby!!!"
We're still celebrating!!!!
