An original 3-part Adventure for Edge of the Empire (Beginner's Box or Beta), free to all you fine folk.

By GM Chris, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

There's a few days left to back the Order 66 Podcast Kickstarter, Darth. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/435243061/the-new-order-66-podcast

$20 will help support d20Radio and net you (at present) SIX original modules (and a bunch more digital SWAG) that will never be seen again... Just sayin! ;-)

(And thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you like it!!!)

But, I NEVER listen to the Order 66 podcast! ;)

I never listen to and would never back the Order 66 podcast either :P

Enemy of my Enemy was so fun to run over skype - can't wait for the KS modules and the special sessions for us backers!

Neither would I! I'd never back THIS podcast!

6 Adventures so far? YEAH! I'm SO looking forward for it!

I attempted to purchase the maps needed to run Enemy of My Enemy from Maps of Mastery and it seems two of them are no longer available:

"Mass Transit Cargo Docks" and "Offworld Transport Facility"

Any idea where else I can find them?

So what's the deal with the "never listen to it" joke with the podcast? I must be missing something. Of course, I've tried to listen to it, but I just don't have the patience for it (it helped with my insomnia though).

Or perhaps Chris West could sell a high res PDF...I know that, in the past, he's provided PDFs to Kickstarter backers. Might be worth getting in contact with him and asking.

It's from a long time ago in a podcast far, far away. That is, the Order 66 Podcast mk 1, which debuted in 2007 IIRC. It's been their catchphrase from the get-go.

As awayputurwpn said, it's an old tagline from the early days back when they were a Saga Edition podcast.

That said, they have been getting quite long-winded of late, with many of their shows clocking in around the 2 hour mark due to banter and off-topic tangents that I've taken to calling "Daveisms" where he'll just go off in some random train of thought that has nothing to do with the show topic. Sometimes it's an attempt to inject humor, other times it's literally some random thing that came into Dave's field of view. Whether it's short attention span or just him trying to be the "wacky radio host" is up to the individual listener to decide.

They used to be a lot better about keeping the off-topic stuff for the post show (which you could ignore) while keeping the 'cast itself more focused and thus around the 1 hour mark, with the primary exceptions being special guests such as Sam Witwer (none of the shows he's showed up have been less than 3 hours) or developer Q&A segments (as there are often a bevy of questions that listeners have requested to be asked).

Were going to play ep2 this or next weekend. I can't wait for the "M.Night Shyamalan" at the end. I do believe some jaws will drop, especially with some choices the crew made in a sidebar last time.

Oh, gads... you HAVE to let us know how it goes! I'm anxious to hear... :D

Well, you should know that the sidebar was the CFS Republic, posted elsewhere. The crew left with about 7k in artifacts, but reported the location to Quay so he could start the paperwork for them for salvage rights. I couldn't help but internalize a "mwa ha ha" after they left.

That's... so... deliciously Eeeeevil!!!

Well, I'm having to sidebar again this week. Man I'm itching to continue this so I can see what they think.

So, I went with the GM kit story. Used it as a flashback for the smaller group. They went to the mines; during the story they reactivated the secretary droid, and convinced him through Deceit that the mine changed hands.

Droid:Do you have the proper legal paperwork for proof of transfer?

Twilek Criminal: No, but when have you known a Hutt to worry about paperwork? (Successes and advantages).

Droid: I suppose you're right. Do you have the account for our new owner? I can presently transfer the amount of 67,000 credits.

Twilek: ...yes. (Gives him his account).

Later in wrap up scene...

Hutt: So, the status of my investment is...

Twilek: The credits got accidently transfered to the original owner?.

I used the Hutt in the core for the Deceit roll. Despair, 2 failures, 3 threats. This now is the Twileks backstory and why his Obligation is 15 and not 5.

Twilek players comment in clean up: "At least I've got my big payoff in the future from the Republic salvage to look forward to."

Me, internally: Yeah, ya do.

It just stinks that we can't get together again until oct 13.

Just got back from our Werewolf game, and the full crew is available next Sunday for part 2. Can't wait.

Thunk. That's the sound of jaws hitting the table. Firs I had to introduce a new character since she hadn't been able to join us until now. She is a FS being blackmailed by Quay to rat out the crew.

So the group gets to Vanqor. I threw in an extra challenge of the Hutt having complications in its hermaphroditic labor, just to see who would get their hands dirty and help deliver the huttlet.

Social encounters were pretty routine.

At the cave, they Wookiee brawler and Human Merc were ready to join the free for all, but everyone else was holding back, apparently too much chaos for them. They had called in Quay to make the bust, so they just hid until he showed up...

...with his battalion and in uniform. Cue the looks and accusations, as they're being taken into custody, weapons confiscated, ship impounded, droids shut down, and the realization that their artifacts and the cooridnents to the wreck of the Republic are now in the hands of the Empire.

And we pause again until mid November.
