Can paper shield cancel Guilty ?

When I use to kneel a ring Character for the cost to kill with Guilty, can paper shield cancel Guilty or not ??

Yes. Paper shield checks the actual (paid) cost.

If you use a Noble character to pay for Guilty , Paper Shield can cancel it.

If you pay 3 influence for Guilty , Paper Shield can not cancel it.
