X-Wing Mini Vs. Wings of War: WWII

By Sprolly G, in X-Wing

In understand the differences between Xwing and Wings of War, I've played both. But is there a differnce between Wings of War and Wings of Glory? or is just a name change? I prefer Canvass eagles for WW1 though.

Wings of War was the old name when it was published under Nexus/FFG. Wings of Glory is the new name as it is published under Ares. Ares has updated the rules slightly, but nothing really significantly different.

Hmmmmmm, yes and no.

I guess it really depends on how heavily someone was into buying WoW stuff, to really see the big differences with WoG.

If you are looking at some of the card only planes from WoW, for example, a few of the planes in miniature Series 5 have toally different maneuver decks/letters then they did as cards when they existed back in WoW. Specifically:

DH2 now uses P deck

Halberstadt D.I now uses P deck
Morane N uses (new) T deck
Fokker E.III uses (new) T deck
Sopwith Triplane will use (new) U deck
Probably more information than 99% of people reading this will either understand or be able to use but… hey… just sayin' :)
