If you mean units with abilities preceded by the name of a zone in italics, such as Quest , then those abilities will simply be inactive if the unit is flipped in some other zone, and won't affect the Counterstrike granted by the tactic.
If you mean the italicized wording such as Battlefield only , then the flipped unit would not cause an illegal state as you did not play the card into the wrong zone as a unit, but as a development, which does not have the printed restirction. When the card is flipped into a unit, it does not create an illegal state as you did not play the unit into an illegal zone; it was already in that zone as a development. Same logic applies when a Battlefield only unit is moved from the Battlefield into the Quest zone; you can only play the unit into the battlefield, but moving it to another zone is a legal play.
