So Silver Squadron had been changed up a bit, and I've had to make some tough decisions and here’s the current build:

100/100 points

Gray Squadron pilot
- Ion Cannon
-R5-D8 (roll to remove damage card)

Luke Skywalker
-R2-F2 (action +1agi)
-Push the limit

Wedge Antillies
-shield upgrade
-R2-D2 (green move, restore shield)
-Determination (discard pilot crit)

Now what I'm thinking:
I like that my Y-wing is a skill 4, it can attack before popular pilot choices (academy pilot, green squadron, ect) but dropping it to gold squadron frees up 2 more points. Which I would like to throw on wedge and swap out Determination for Expert handling. And I believe dropping me to 99 points.

So which do you feel is more important: higher pilot skill and discard face up crits on Wedge, or a more maneuverable Wedge and 99 point initiative chance? Thoughts, comments?

I don't see a lot of advantage to Gray over Gold. I love my God Squadron Ys. I may be blind to something though. I would drop Grey to gold and drop R5D8 to generic R5. That will free up 4 points for a proton on Wedge or whatever you want.

I think the small gain in defense from R5D8 is not as advantageous as any gain in offense.

R5-D8 should be a staple on a Y-wing, like that ion cannon. You have 5 hull, why miss out on the oppertunity to restore that? even so when you only other actions are target lock and focus and no chance for eliet skills?

Maybe I'm stuck in my ways been R5D8 has been MVP one too manytimes to let him go lol.
