Hi everybody , i have a question about the "sacrifice to …" rule.
i start with an example.
In game there are a lobber and another one of my unit and one's opponent unit.
i decide to active the action of the lobber ( Action:sacrifice this unit to force the opponent to sacrifice a unit he controls.)
my opponent plays Plague Bomb in response to my action ( plague bomb say:Action: Deal 1 damage to target unit. Deal 2 damage to another target unit. Deal 3 damage to a third target unit.) and he target my lobber , my second unit and his one .
In F.A.Q. 2.0. Rule "Sacrifice." says: Sacrifice means to remove a card you control from play. The act of sacrificing a card cannot be cancelled or prevented by other effects. After a card is sacrificed, it is placed into its owner’s discard pile.
So if i follow the rule, plague bomb can't be played because he can't target my lobber because i remove him from play.
is that right? because i find some players that say they can play plague bomb in response to lobber because is an action.
I think sacrifice is a cost. it is like paying "resource to .."so he can't do nothing in response to a sacrifice and in this case plague bomb target an illegal target becuase in no more existing in play.right?
thanks everyone for the attention.
Sacrifice to…rule
You are correct. The sacrifice is a cost, you pay all costs when you trigger the effect. By the time he gets to respond, the Lobber Crew is already gone. See "Triggering a card effect" on page 4 of the FAQ.
Really,Thank you.
i have another question.
if i sacrifice lobber my opponent can cancel my action with mage of loec(Action: Discard a quest
from hand or turn this unit into a
development to cancel an Action just
triggered.)?
He can, but the lobber will be gone (sacrifice is the cost you pay immediately when playing an action).
ok! thank you!!
