Some regional lists I am messing with….

Basically the Interceptors will be my flankers while the Firespray and Mauler will stay together. I can use the Ion Cannon to hopefully disable an annoying ship if need be and that allows Mauler to hit with a possible 4 attack (also this makes the Firespray fire at PS7 way of ST). My interceptors then can flank or help kill the ioned ship. Pretty basic.

This list is a combo - Dutch moves 1st taking a TL giving Lando 2 TLs , then Lando moves useing Ms giving Dutch a focus. Now Lando fires useing a TL + MS , if he still misses Gunner allows another attack with a TL + MS. Dutch can help with his 1 shot topedoes or useing his ion turret to help set up kills with Lando or disabling an annoying ship for a turn.

Anyway any comments appreciated.

you might be a little better off swapping out your missiles for assault.

I tried your first list this sunday. On paper it seemed really good and it includes ships I really like flying. After two very close games against a Vader-led swarm and then some X-wings I found a problem, and that is Mauler. The idea that he should use Swarm Tactics on Bounty Hunter seems to work out pretty poorly, since, in both games my opponent either shot before me or after me regardless of Swarm Tactics. In both games my opponent targeted him first, which seems correct, and I would rather just have the firepower of another interceptor. Find a way to protect him if he is integral to your plan!

i agree swarm tactics seems misplaced on mauler. no love for howlrunner? putting a stealth device on him or running black sq pilot + draw their fire is good. with 8 pilot skill he is also a gr8 target for swarm.

Seems better. I´ll try them out, since I really like this list. The two flanking Interceptors with maneuverability and firepower 3 have been great in my games. I was toying with the idea of putting Draw Their Fire on Bounty Hunter, thus protecting Howlrunner, who makes sure he fire that Ion Cannon early on!

Edit: Silly me, Bounty Hunter can´t take skills. Never mind the last part ;)

Hothie used assault missiles on his bounty hunters to great effect. he used howlrunner with squad leader to allow his bounty hunters to focus fire and target lock in the same attack. im mucking around with a build that replaces one BH with darth vader that uses the same aphla strike power.

For the first list, drop Mithel and take Howlrunner. If you want Swarm Tactics anyway at least it is skill 8 and she can buff any of the ships you have. Also with Mithel to be effective you want to be range 1 and that's where he often gets shot down, So he is not an ideal candidate in this list for swarm tactics. Drop stealth device on the bounty hunter. I find it pretty useless on anything that does 't have at least agility 3 because you lose it in the first serious attack most of the time. I know you don't have the points but if you need a defensive upgrade, take a shield upgrade on the BH.

For the second list, it's okay but if i ran a 2-ship build, it would have better pilot skill. With your list you get outnumbered and are still at lower pilot skill than a lot of enemies. I ran a similar list but with a minimum of options, like that i was able to get Garven Dreis into the list as well. Okay so my lando didn't have 2 target locks per turn, but i had one more ship and could give out focus tokens instead.
