Some ideas on what to do with current franchaises

By Starsoul-klr, in UFS General Discussion

So, instead of a what new titles can FFG get for UFS, what are some fun ideas you think they can do with current ones?

Street Fighter 4: surprise, as the capcom titles have less restrictions there's 6 new characters they can use from this.

Soul Calibur 4 Battle Pack Star Wars: I know there might no be a chance for this but it could work like the Penny Arcade battle box where this is the only thing we see from this. If Lucas lets them...

-and my favorite:

King of Fighters 2006 Cosplay Compitition: In MI theres quite a lot of color changes that resemble other SNK characters.

Fio as Terry

Kyo as Shingo

Kula as Candy

Nightmare Gesse as Goenitz

... and there's many more I don't remember. lengua.gif

Penny arcade battle box will be at gencon this year because the PA guys dont have enough time for a full set. Also the star wars are on lucas arts and last I heard they weren't interested but who knows maybe it will change down the road.

i say we hold a ufs event where you must cosplay as the character you are playing............. no one is allowed to play gill....

Im afraid of a big guy playing zangeif...

Do you guys really want me to cos play as morrigan lol .

MORE KILIK! Seriously though, get him up to Chun-Li status for characters printed.

better that then hugo or gill right?

Evil Sakura, Evil Ken, Sodom, Birdie, Oro, El Fuerte, Abel, Seth, Gouken, Rufus (lol), Crimson Viper, Skull-o-Mania (for please!), Garuda... Pretty much anyone from SF4 or the EX series.

I wonder if the Street Fighter license applies to characters that only appear in SF games, if so you could add many, many more... Like Poison (G:? ftw!)

Something I'd like to see as I was always a fan of it in Decipher's Star Wars game, was something akin to a starting interupt. Something that would be played before the game began that would effect your staging area, or even the way the game will be played. In the case of UFS, it might be cool to see something done to that effect with the different 'Grooves' from CvS. They wouldn't have to purchase a new license, I wouldn't think, and to avoid the mixing they could release a mixed SNK and a mixed Street Fighter/ Darkstalkers set simultainously, putting in S, N and K Grooves in with SNK and C, A and P in with Capcom. These coudl change the way you get momentum, and the way you use it. For example K groove would have you unable to gain momentum by attacking, but you instead get a momentum from the top of your deck for each of your opponent's attacks that dealt damage when they clear their card pool.

Bison also needs a 'This is delicious!' action. I demand it.

the EX characters are owned by arika (creators of everblue and endless ocean) not capcom so ffg would have to buy up another license to use the EX characters

and wasn't it violent ken not evil ken?

i still want support characters though i've said it in another thread but charachter's like sakura's friend kei or karin or dudley's butlers they wouldn't exactly offer much but could make interesting support characters

Kei and Ishizaki would be fun assets for sure! Or the little girl who follows Necro around!

Also, are you certain about the EX thing? It was developed under license from Capcom, so I have trouble imagining that Arika would retain the rights to the characters they designed. Most often when it comes to broad-spanning licenses like that, the license owner owns the created characters. For instance the Dawn of War characters belong to Games Workshop, rather than to Relic inspite the fact that Relic created them.
