Is there any more to the clue?? Because if the clue was "Sharing a name with a pugilist," then the only guess I have is something like… Warrior, but that's too generic. Maybe I'm just not on the right track?
(The crab had to come back sometime…)
Forum game
Oh I see… I was on the wrong track. Silly me. Assuming Rich was correct, Rich's turn?
I think it's fair to wrap up my riddle and move on. It was a bit obscure in hind-sight (and deceptively literal):
Something that shares a name with a (fictional) boxer (pugilist): Balrog
Balrog was a boxer in Street Fighter games
Sorry guys, haha
thats a tough one, but well done!…so i shall leave the thread open to who ever wants to go next.
PS. over 100 posts, not bad at all ![]()

Ok here's one. Not sure if it will be really hard or easy but here it is:
Sheep+Sheep noise
Khamul
Oh and the Sheep clue is NOT the word sheep. Is has something to do with a sheep.
Hint: The first part of the clue is another name you would call a sheep. The more cut and cuddly name ![]()
I'm guessing Lembas bread?
Yep! Good job! Your turn ![]()
Khamul
Dang. I step away for a couple days for the wife's birthday, and miss a flurry of activity…
Legolas, what is our next mystery?
Hmm… I had to think a little for my next one.
Let's see how this one goes…
A Nautical tool + An Exclamation + Synonym for sketched + Not out
I don't think this one is very well done, because I made it quickly. If it's too vague or anything, just tell me and I'll give another clue. ![]()
can only make the latter half of this fit, but orodruin? (drew+in)

Wow! Nice. That's correct. I thought that one would be a little harder… Oh well. ![]()

Rich, you're up!
thanks! i can actually make the first two parts fit now, nice one!
my next one: (the gardeners of hobbiton had much use for these after bilbo's 111th birtday party) - (one of human kind's greatest invention?) + (not up)

Barrow-downs?
If that's correct, I had to work that one backwards… lol. "Down" was pretty straight forward… I didn't really notice the minus symbol there for a while… so I just kept trying to think of "greatest inventions"… could really only think of writing and wheel… Oddly barrow-downs was the first thing that popped into my noggin with down… just couldn't really see how the barrow fit until I realized that it was a minus sign and that the "subtraction" was the first part of the word, not the last…
My turn?
well done- your turn ![]()

A friend with sorrow.
(edited: removed quotation marks to remove confusion).
I can't think of anything for this one…. Hmm. I know that when someone gets the answer it'll be super obvious, but for right now I'm stumped.
I was hoping it wouldn't be a dead giveaway… but perhaps a more specific/altered clue is in order!
A "friend who weeps" reveals much about who they are. And about who you are.
Eowyn or Arwen? They do a lot of weeping it seems ![]()
mr. Benhanses loves his 1st age material, so im guessing it will be more from that age ![]()
First : ![]()
…. Apparently, these are all the rage.
Wow… let's see how many clues I'll keep adding before someone finally cracks this one! (I have a feeling this addition may give enough to do it):
A "friend who weeps" reveals much about who they are. And about who you are. But take caution, lest your deep connection leave you burnt.
PS… I DO love the 1st Age material… but this answer spans multiple ages (a small clue in itself)…
haha- i can take credit for starting that….. ![]()
now the clue……mmm…i think it is something to do with the tale of beren/luthien and aragorn/arwen, perhaps the gift on men and the choice of the women?
i know thats not really an answer, but its the only connect i can make right now

Haha… nope. You're getting WAY deeper into the meaning of my clue than you should….lol.
A bit more perhaps?
A " FRIEND IN WEEPING" reveals much about who they are. And about who you are. But take caution, lest your deep connection leave you burnt. But if your bond be true, there is no distance that can keep you separated.
