I have just found an ebay seller asking £27 each for the Y wing and TIE advanced expansions. Claiming they are rare anf out of production items.
Is this a seller out to make a fast buck due to current scarcity of these models or have FFG decided to end production?
The FFG site list them as currently unavailable so do we expect to see them reappear or continue to see extortionate price hikes like this one?

FFG is reprinting the ywing and it looks like it will be released in may. Check the upcoming products section on the website for up to date information. Looks like wave 2 ships are on their way to stores now.

If you are looking for a cheap Y-Wing, miniauturemarket.com currently has 69 of them in stock at $9.72 a piece.

I just started my collection on the tenth of April and bought most of my collection from Miniature Market.com, plus their warehouse is on the way home from work so I cut out the shipping cost; Ended up with: two starter boxes, one YT-1300, one KSE-31 Firespray, three Tie Advanced and three Y-wing for right at $150. That saved me around $40 plus the cost of shipping.
My Girl found Tie Fighters and Tie Interceptors for 11.90 somewhere and snatched those up, Then I got the last A-Wing from coolstuffinc.com

Miniature market sounds great but being in the UK by the time I pay shipping and Taxes I am paying almost the same price. There does seem to be very limited stocks in UK so holding out til May by the looks of things.
I did a little math for you since I've got nothing better to do for an hour. I checked all of this out before posting it, Also this might not be 100% accurate because I used a random Zip Code in London for shipping and I'm not sure where in the UK you live.
4 Y-Wings to ship to London from miniature market is $17.15 (shipping) + $38.88 (4 y-wings)
If you figure out per ship (ship + shipping) comes out to $14.01 US
If you convert this to punds it comes out to 9.13 pounds.
That number sounds a lot better then 27 pounds that the seller is looking for, although I'm not sure how much an average ship costs in the UK. Where I'm from I have two great gaming stores that would charge just around 8.5 pounds (converted) per ship so the 9.13 pounds does not sound to terrible. The one thing that would probably make me a bit nuts is, how long does a y-wing minauture take to clear customs?
You have to add tax to that. Not sure how much but I would guess 20%. Models in the UK are about £10-12 each. I do know that Clifton Road Games still has all the models in stock, as of last Thursday.
20% VAT plus £13.50 clearance fee if it comes via Parcel Force.
