Special cards

By NoItAll, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

There are almost four delux expansions for Warhammer: Invasion the Living Card Game. Each one of them includes specialized cards like legends and fulcrums. My question is will these types of cards show themselves in future battle packs so as to add a little variety? I mean, there are only six fulcrm cards in the up-comming expansion Cataclysm. Wont people eventually get tired of only playing with those six? I haven't gotten the game quite yet so I don't know whether or not cards like the legends or the vampire counts tend to show up in battle packs. Thank you. :)

I think the "Legends" expansion had Legends, but Assault on Ulthuan and March of the Damned didn't really have new cards, did they?

In Cthulhu there are story cards, which are sort of like fulcrums: You and your opponent fight over them. They have released three sets of them now iirc. The rules say you have to play with the whole set, and only the newest one is used for tournaments. So it's possible that in future expansions they could throw in some new fulcrums. If some people don`t care about multiplayer, the best strategy might be to issue some Print on Demand fulcrums so that they don`t take up space in a new expansion. That way no one cries.

Cool, thanks alot. :)

Actually, upon further investigation, while looking at the introduction to The Ruinouse Hordes battle pack I noticed that it featured a photo of a card called "Sigvald the Magnificient" which is a legend. So I guess special card types are featured in some battle packs.

Yep, they've kept up with the Legends this whole time. Maybe they will sneak some fulcrums in later battle packs and let players decide on whatever they want to include.
