As I see it....Terrain is now very much like a game mechanic used in pokemon. Except they call them "Stadium" cards.

The new rarity system is much better than the DOT system. Many cards games usea similiar system already (notcibly MTG) and far easier to discren a rarity when you have a letter associated with it instead of a dot or dots.

Im just hoping that all the new terrains arent crap and are actually worth running because it might get to the point where you have to at least run one to combat your opponents terrains and they might just not be good enough to justify it

now you have a good reasong to run somes (or sideboard) : to blow up your opponent's one :)

There has been some sort of "Terrain" rule in every CCG ever, be it a different name or slighly different ability. The good news is they are generally better for the game than worse.

I miss my Rainbow Ruins =(

It seems people are looking forward to Terrain the most. Interesting...

Yeah, in Magic they were called "Enchant Worlds."

I'm trying to remember what the special name was in Rage (the Werewolf CCG).

Point me to the part that mentioned it was for a serious, competitive, tournament-calibur deck. Please.

I'm not stupid. Why in God's name would I run SBT as the general 2-check in a deck when iSpin suits my needs so much better (among many other phenomenal 2's)? And when did I mention that Ranged attacks were truly playable? I mentioned one random, off-the-wall combo I stumbled across fiddlign around with THD one day that I rather liked because it's stupid and janky. You're correct, it's a "neat little trick" - nothing more.

Additionally, read the effect of SBT again. "Blocking only the key attacks which will most likely be plasma beam" won't cut it - it locks off their ability to block AT ALL, since you're slammed them with 7 damage on SBT, and there are no cards with a control of 7 in the game. Please don't insult my intelligence by assuming that I don't know how to play a simple and very obvious block hacking strategy with Blood Runs True (honestly, how did you think that three speed mid attack was going to be pushed through?).

I'll leave your last, thinly veiled insult alone for now. But it seems as though you're looking to lash out and prove your superiority after the "capital R" bit a few pages back. I wasn't involved, other than to attempt to get the conversation back on topic from that. You would do well, in the future, to not unnecessarily provoke people. Particularly those who won't just take your crap lying down.

Realistically.

Ed: Can't believe I fell for the trolling. Sigh -_-

Ed2: Oyeah. So the first character idea I came up with was one with something like "E: Your Ranged attack gets +1 speed and +1 damage.". Nothing major, but with Dio-Cega being all semi-Brick-like, it adds up pretty quickly.

there seems to be a bit of confusion. in haste, i responded to your comment with a response that was meant for guitalex2008. i also dont care what you play for fun. i apologize for any ill feeling i may have caused and i dont need to prove im better than anyone on the forums. i'd rather just play you, beat you, and then tell you im better than you.

I'd like to remind everyone to please keep the conversations civil...or at least civil for UFS . :)

Enough personal attacks. Giving someone the needle is fine, just calling them names and continually harping on things is not.

And now, back to the program...

let me clarify myself. while there are very good ranged attacks (Neo Raging Storm, Melancholic Mercurious, High Plasma Beam), as a whole ranged attacks are not good to me. also the cards you named make a lackluster combo. you would have done more damage if you just played 2 plasma beams.

Could i get a decklist for this earth mina deck? i would like to see how good it was.

p.s. mina was never good, with or without ranged attacks. for an earth patch tourney, there were definitely better options. i feel sorry for anyone who lost to it.

It's not a combo. It's also not lackluster if it were.

Your little "you would've done more damage if you just played 2 plasma beams" falls flat if you only draw one. There is such a thing as decks with 16 or more attacks.

I love you guys.

First it's "ZOMG! Bitter can now target all the cards in your hand!"

Now that I point out that there's a card that can stop it, you only have one key word in hand, and it's going to be auto fragged by bitter.

It's clear that right now you guys are dead set that bitter rivals is broken. There is nothing I can say that will cause you to part from this stance. I get it.

I'm just going to slink back into my corner, and wait for the other 286 cards to be spoiled and see what comes up.

I didn't say that CtS was the only answer. I said it was an answer. Oh... and CtS shares a symbol with the following card:

There's probably other non-situational ways to blank stuff. I want to see more spoilers.

Small problem: once Bitter discards Big Cyclone, sure they have to deal with the attack but you will NOT be able to use the Combo because the last card in your card pool is not a Throw anymore. Additionally, during Big Cyclone's enhance phase, say goodbye to Command the Sandstorm.

GOD I HATE TRYING TO EDIT POSTS WITH QUOTES. THE ABOVE RESPONSE IS RELATED TO ANTIGOTH'S POST BELOW.
