Manuver Templates

By pitsch, in X-Wing

The applied perspective set I just ordered has the S-Loops and T-rolls IIRC.

Nice, I need to order a set so I can finally do S-Loops and T-rolls. I've been really hamstringing myself by not being able to use those parts of my dials since I'm only using a basic set of templates.

You're a real peach, aren't ya, AllWings... FYI regarding the tray, it is very easy for fishing out the templates because there's a hole on one side expressly for that purpose. You can see one, in fact, in the picture, in the range ruler slot. And I fail to see how having all your templates lined up perfectly and flat would be more difficult for transportation.

Chadwick, I love the tray for the movement templates and I'm probably going to get one myself! Might get two, in fact. Did you have the guy who made the templates do the cover for them? Can you explain what you do with the magnets? I don't recall seeing the option for a cover in the store, but maybe I didn't look carefully enough.

Also, how did you get those templates? I haven't seen anything like them before, did you make them yourself? EDIT: (I found them on the forums here after searching, nvm!)

I did get the movement tray for Xmas from the MRS. I emailed the etsy guy about making a cover. He liked the idea and sold me one. He asked if I wanted anything on the cover. I asked for something about Bombers and he made that fantastic cover. We chatted about how to put the magnets in and how he should start to sell them. I bet if you emailed him, he would be happy to sell them.

I also like his damage deck tray.

As for the templates, I love those things. I got them from that guy in Germany. They were ready to buy long before the Greenman kickstarter even started. I highly recommend them, as well as the various cool tokens you can get. His shield tokens are my favorite.

I've wanted a tray like that for a while, but I need it to fit in the bag I take to tournaments, which has been something of a nightmare. I've started trying to lay out my own custom one and have it laser cut in a local hacker space here. I'm hoping I can make a magnetic lid for it that has sockets for the ship bases so I can make that table-swapping easier, like you said. Love that decal work on your lid though. I may have to borrow that idea...

Just got the tray a few weeks ago and some new Applied Perspective templates. I wish I'd known about the cover being an option, but the tray does fit perfectly in the top of a Battlefoam 720. The tray can be easily moved wherever space may be and I have an easier time finding maneuvers. It actually saves space because I don't need a stationary spot to leave my templates.

Just needs the Varnish.

PS: Those are the new Applied Perspective template design so they do have T-rolls and S-loops.

It's not a decal, but actually burned into the wood via the laser cutter.

Where are some good places to get acrylic Manuver Templates?

Applied Perspective is my favorite source for acrylic maneuver templates in the United States.

Just got my Team Covenant set and I'm very pleased.

For fancy templates /but also simply monochromatic ones), or tokens, you can check out this site:

http://www.miracle-versand.de/Acryl/

the templates have the new symbols on them already (T-Roll and S-Loop)
