I recently got Deadwood, and the instructions on shootouts and dice rolls are vague:
so P1 has a lvl 3
and P2 has a lvl 2
both use cartriges.
giving P1 4 dice and P2 3
so how many dice does each player roll?
and how does the round progress taking wounds and eventually death?

They take the number of dice equal to their level. But they use a cartrige so they take an extra dice. One of them has one more dice then the other, so he the faster gunslinger. So he rolls his one die first. If the slower guy is still alive then they each roll one die at a time until no more die are left.Does that help?
