I've got in mind that I'd like to play through all of the quests (except the PoD ones) for this game alongside my wife.

Whenever I start thinking about good deck combinations my mind starts going a little fritzy though and I haven't come up with a two deck combo that really satisfies me.

Any suggestions?

(I'm not completely adverse to dwarves, but I am kinda sick of them.)

I've got one copy of the core set and all of the expansions. Which might be part of my problem; I'm feeling a little blitzed by all of the options.

Oh yes, I have the same problem and the same requirements.

my best for 2 handed decks are as follows. it has breezed through mirkwood cycle and dwarrowdelf with a few exceptions (rhosgobel)

the quest deck

eowyn / glorfinde spirit l / elrond

the fighting blocking deck

legolas / beorn / hama

the power lies behind the fighting deck

hama must be recycling thicket of spears and feint. whilst this is nothing new, and some feel it too overpowered, it is the key to the deck's success and is a huge advantage to those such as myself who have a lower win rate with other decks. added to this is beorns ability to sentinel across the table and legolas ranging across the table.

the other is a quest power deck with healing as optional. have light of valinor and asfaloth out quick with master of the forge, mathom or stargazer.

have UC (i only play with 1 core set also) on elrond and vilya.

add in some edoras escorts for some extra questing power.

the fighting deck has eagle allies and attatchments, and the appropraite weapons for legolas and hama. have foe hammer so that hama has options to discard

Hi I tryed to built the deck but i can. So sry I'm not a native speaker and it is a little bit hard for me to understand.

It would be really nice if you can write me a decklist with the cards. So the heros looks good an one deck vor quest and one for fight is what i mentioned .

ok heres the fighting deck, i have feint and thicket of spears in 3 times each however i have a feeling that there are only 2 in the core set? if you have 3 then put 3 in as they are the key to the deck but if not 2 will do, or if you are into proxying then try to proxy those two cards

but i completely forgot to put vilya in the deck…..it is meant to be in there.i guess thats where the extra two cards can go from not having the extra copies of test of will and hasty stroke

that is slightly problematic….alot of the cards are from either of the hobbit packs. especially the fighting deck….which means you dont have beorn.

i would say try beregond?…you have 2 good fighers with hama and legolas, so perhaps a good defender is needed. that way you can put a few copies of citadel spear in and have 'behind strong walls'. do you have hiers of numenor pack?

So at least I played a tactic/Lore deck and my wife a leadership/spirit deck. but only with cards from the core and the hunt for gollum & conflict at the carroc adventure.

Now we want to start to play with all cards. I hope you understand.

So my wife like to play with rohan allys because she loves to quest and to support, and I like to fight. So i thought about a tactic/leadership deck for me and a spirit/lore deck for her. but i can't create one

i see, i shall re think what to play with your current card pool. how do you feel about dwarves? i have made quite a good deck with dain/thalin/bifur but if you want more fighting power you can switch out bifur for gloin so that gives you a leadership x 2 / tactics heros deck

after putting narvis bet (khazad dum pack) on a gloin you can then field whatever sphere you wish, though here i would take advantage of the considerable dwarven tactics cards. erebor battle master is the best dwarf fighter in the game when you have a lot of dwarves in play. also you can have self preservation (core set) on gloin, and purposely allow him to get damaged from a weak enemy, giving him additional resouroces each turn, then heal him with self preseveration. have narvis belt on him and you have a decent resource machine in play

hmm okay that sounds very nice. I never thought about a dwarf deck cuz i love the speerman of gondor and the raman guy with 4 def ^^

Wow, you and I are in the exact same boat. I mean she (my wife) picked the same spheres, and we're both trying to come up with something. I'm trying to make a deck with Dain/Thalin/Gimli, and I threw in everything that said "Dwarf" and then tried to trim it down, also threw in sneak attack/3x Gandalf, cuz there's no way I'm passing that up when I'm playing with purple resources. I've got all the same cards as you, except I don't have The Dead Marshes yet. That's coming soon.
