My Descent Webpages are ready

By Paul Grogan, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

On there is a list of our house rules, my Road to Legend leader stat cards, campaign diaries, a nice Terrinoth map with skill locations and much, much more*

Any comments / errors, please let me know

*There isnt much more at the moment, but am hoping to add more stuff in the future like some of my painted minis pictures.

Looks nice. It seems that the links to the leader images are broken, however.

Seems ok to me. Accessing also from a computer which doesnt have the images on the hard drive. Anyone else got the problem

Yeah I keep getting broken link webpage.

I like Your house rules for the RtL. I'm starting a campaign this weekend, and as it is the first one, we'll go by the book and faq, but after one completed campaign, I'm inclined to think that Your set of house rules would be appealing to me.

Thanks for the map with skills, I printed it out for a reference. And the links to leader cards did work just fine.

All your leader card links use backslashes instead of forward slashes for the final slash before the filename.

also, your campaign 1 session 2 link is pointing to a dreamblade trading thread rather than your second session report. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Ah, yep, that's it. If I change the backslash to a forward slash it works fine.

Err, is anyone having the same problem. I get Paul's website page but there are no menus on the top bar. Only the updates that he has placed in and his contact.

You should enable JavaScript in your browser.

All now fixed. Thanks for spotting it. Worked ok on my broswer, it must have the "adjust for errors made my the webdesiger" feature enabled.

Also fixed. Thanks for spotting it. 1 digit wrong in the code

Good stuff there... I love your map-with-skills! Are you planning to update it at some point to reflect the latest changes from the FAQ? It's hardly an issue for me if you're not going to bother... I'm just wondering if I should wait before asking my brother to print us a replacement board ;-D

Good work though! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I thought about that straight after I read the FAQ and then thought I'd probably not bother. Some people disagree with the changes in the FAQ and are still using these skills (possibly a modified version), so I think I'll leave it as it. Plus, I got other stuff I gotta be doing.

Don't blame you... If it was my roomate, she'd probably still have an unflattened photoshop document for it she could just adjust in two seconds ;-) But if it would be more than a two second job, I wouldn't bother with it either!

Javascript enabled. Still the same. Maybe it's because I'm using a Mac and not a PC

I was reading your change to Mata and Kata, and I honestly wouldn't allow it. If these two familiars can go through a dungeon and grab the coins, if your Heroes are using the Blitz strategy, that would give them a lot of free coin on the second level (i.e. all 4 Heroes just wait in town until Mata and Kata have grabbed the coins, then they flee the dungeon).

In our campaign, Mata and Kata are very useful for transporting potions and treasures between the Heroes. Often one Hero goes shopping and finds a treasure another Hero could use, and with Mata, it makes it easy to give it to him without having to "hunt him down". Same thing with potions, often times we start with a well balanced distribution of potions, then suddenly due to circumstances, one Hero has more than the others, and Kata makes it easy to hand the potion off to them.

Something is wrong with the link for Tusk. If I click on the link I get a 404. However, I can go to your file directory and select the file. Wierd.

Any news on the Legendary Area leaders yet?

Further to the above, It looks like you have a miss-matched case in the hyperlink.

Also, I was looking at your alternative leaders, but the following seem to be dead links:

Vadriar (case error), Slaanesh, Firetooth, Blaze 2 (Don't even appear in the directory).

Thanks for spotting all of these, will fix them soon (and do the legendary areas ones).

Blaze 2 I'm not sure what to do with. We've house-ruled that Master Hellhounds have Burn (due to numerous threads about hell hounds being a bit rubbish), so therefore Blaze 2 is the same as Blaze but with Burn, and I'm not sure whether to change his name to avoid confusion. I dont want anyone printing out a leader card for my version of Blaze when they havent made the same house rule.

Website updated. Added monsters for legendary areas and fixed all the giants and chaos beasts, whose movement increased at the higher camapaign levels and I hadnt spotted this earlier.
