Millenium Falcon touch up

By tigule, in X-Wing

Spent today touching up the Millenium Falcon miniature (copper piping, engine hue and brighter red plating)

Star Wars Miniatures : Millenium Falcon

This is absolutely beautiful yet subtle, what paints did you use? I may have to steal this design for my first falcon that I'm keepingg close to stock.

Very nicely done

I just did mine in a very similar way. Can't wait to show it off at Tabletop Day tomorrow.

Nicly done - it really pops

I really like what you did with the engine. How did yu get that effect?

Nice painting with excellent detail. You must have a steady hand.

I used Citadel paints (from games workshop):

"Mephiston Red" for the red plating
For the piping and engine exhausts I base coated with black, then used "Auric Armour Gold" for pipes and "Hashut Copper" on the exhausts.
I also added some "Agrax Earthshade" wash over the exhaust area to give an additional dirt effect. (all with a Citadel Fine Detail Brush).
If I went too far I touched up with "Celestra Grey" - its a pretty close match to the grey of the hull
