Hi all,

I am the proud new owner of the X-wing mini game, but I have a question regarding upgrade cards. (most probably already answered here, but couldn't find the answer).

Well here it is:

I know that a ship with an upgrade icon printed in its upgrade bar can only have one copy of that upgrade card per printed icon. I have noticed that some upgrade cards have no icon in its lower left corner, does this mean that this upgrade card can be used with any ship even if that ship has no upgrade icon in its upgrade bar?

The upgrades you are refering to belong to 2 specific classes of upgrades: Modifications and Titles. Each ship may take 1 modification and 1 title (though the only available titles are restricted to YT-1300s and Firesprays). The full rules for these can be found in the rules insert included with the Falcon and Slave I models (which is also where the upgrade cards can be found).

As I mentioned in another thread, it is frustrating and confusing that you have to gather information from several different and sometimes scattered resources to find answers to common questions. For example, to completely understand how the new Bomb tokens work you need information from three different places - the Slave 1 insert sheet describes how to "drop" them, the upgrade cards for each bomb describe the conditions for detonation, and the Bomb Token card descibes what happens when they detonate.

It would be nice to have a "codex" where all the information on a particular topic could be referenced in one place. I wish I had the time and expertise to put it together.
