Working to a really tight schedule here, if people could harrass their local shop and get them to call me at Esdevium that would be cool. I will be ringing all the stores that held a prerelease last time, but if players would like to hassle the shops, especially if we could get a few new ones, that would be cool.
thats not a bad deal on bonuses is it i mean the boxes cost what about £300 retail to buy up (not sure what deal retailers are getting them for on wholesale) nad they get 8 full sets of the two lots of promo cards and 8 playmats hell if they were unscrupulous and sold the mats on ebay thats £160 right there let alone what they get for the promo cards....or for that matter even selling the decks or booster cards...this makes me want to own my own hobby shop lol
just reading it and i wouldnt think that it is 8 sets of promos it si 8 x set 12 promo, not 8 sets of 12 promos ;( though would have been nice
it is unusall though that the normal amount of boosters in pre release is 2 boxes per side.
if that was the case they'd say 8 out of 12 promos or 8/12 promos to encourage more sales but it does make sense that they are giving away that many as they are giving away 8 play mats with it too and if they did less than a full set per order then stores would end up with way more mats than their user base as they'd have atleast 16 per customer trying to get a full set of promo cards possibly more
but reading it again i can see what you mean as this is set 12 rather than what i was thinking they were sets of 12 promo cards....does seem like odd wording though considering that soulcalibur is only on its 11th set of promo cards and shadowar is on its 2nd (possibly third if you count ufs5p)
Yeah, it is 8 of each promo, so 16 promos total, if only it were more..........
The other thing to remember with this kit is that we usually work to an eight player kit in this country, where as this is a straight out sixteen play, it is also the only way in which this kit can be done. Personally I like it, I like the idea of getting a starter and six boosters and there still being enough boosters left fpr prize support. So far I have three venues that have requested a prerelease:
Colchester.
Aldershot.
Nottingham.
I know its a slightly awkward wweekend, it being easter and all, but hassle you friendly local store!!
well i'm thinking of a trip to cardiff this weekend so will try and pester the trading post into ordering some so i can snag some promo **** of him and a playmat hehe
