Quickest way to stop Defender loop? Take out the opponent before they get it set up.

Laughable way. Aggro has only been a viable deck type once (well, three times before it got smacked down by errata), and it certainly is not now. I've been trying hard to bring it back, but there is absolutely NOTHING that can properly deal with Order/Water on Donovan. Even with the 20 life.

What I mean is that most of the characters who play otu Defender well have vitality <=20. Throw out a couple of Midnight Pleasure, a Feline Spike, Fight or Flight a Darkness Blade, that sort of thing. Kill them quickly before they get it all set up.

Aggro isn't feasible enough at this point. Unless your name is Balrog.

Even then there's a distinct lack of GOOD punches across one particular symbol. Even through Air (since you cut yourself from the sexy Crazy Buffalo **).

this might seem like a stupid question, but i recently got back into ufs less than a month ago and was wondering what the defender loop was. I have heard it talked about, but i dont know what cards are in it or how/why it works.

Defender is an asset which states

E Discard 1 momentum: If this attack deals damage, add 1 other card from your cardpool to your hand.

The primary enabler is a foundation named Lord of the Makai, which has the following E

E: Add the top card of your deck to your momentum

The most basic loop is simply looping 2 Mega Spikes off each other. Mega spike being a 3 difficulty 3 control 3 damage throw.

Try M-Style Combat Arts then. That has water on. And your opponents water deck with defender loop is unlikely to be able to pump damage.

ah I think i was confusing feline spike with mega spike. it makes much more sense now.

Copy their defender with Lynette, then kill them with defender loop off their own defender... it's pretty funny.

Some weeks ago i did it by copying defender with one lynette and LotM with another... my opponent was really pissed off enfadado.gif

Why break something when you can use it?

even though someone else may have stated this earlier, run tira's.
