If Boba Fett deals 1 point of damage to a unit that has a shield, and my opponenet uses the shield to absorb the damage, will that satisfy the trigger on Fett's reaction? Or does there actually need to be at least 1 point of damage on the unit?

I'm thinking he needs to actually do some damage, but I want to be sure.

Damage would need to be done. The shield stops any damage actually being applied to the unit.

Boba is not dealing any damage if its absorbed by the shield.
