NPC Generator ready on Malleus.dk

By Thomas62, in Dark Heresy

Hello there - the disciples of the Machine God have almost finished preparing an artefact called an "NPC Generator for Dark Heresy".

You can test it here: www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator.aspx

The NPC Generator enables you to create NPCs and add advances to them as you see fit. It will calculate rank path, XP, etc. correctly.

It is also a great tool for verifying that you own PC is correct, but beware, your GM might test this for you. :)

If you login you will be able to save the NPCs you create and edit them when you come back. Please note that if you already have a login for the WHFRP part of malleus.dk you can reuse this login.

Play with it and give us some feedback at [email protected]. We are especially interested in any errors you might find.

Cheers,

Thomas

The Malleus Maleficarum Syndicate

The link you posted doesn't work for me. However, I already had your site bookmarked so I went to it through there. The NPC generator is amazing! I'm not one to worry about making sure my NPCs conform to PC advances, but the generator is really fun to play around with. It seems really useful for familiarizing yourself with advancement schemes, too. I love the fact that when you mouse over an advance, it tells you at what rank it became available. Very cool, I can see it being great for players who want to double-check, like you said. Or even for players who prefer to go the digital route in creating and advancing characters.

The link didn't work for me either, so I clicked me through your hp. Amazing work. Really, the artwork, the animations. You made my day!

Great work guys, keep on. I’m looking forward to possibility of printing the created character.

Hello Thomas, your work is great, I love your session posters
I’ve been using your character generator and I think that the mechadendrite use ability group may be factored in as melee weapon training.

I also want to ask you if you will include alternate career ranks and adepta sororitas?

Hi Idaho

You can make Adepta Sororitas careers. For example choose Adept as a career and on the follwoing screen push the Edit button, then you can change the career togehter with the sex and stats etc.

Hi Idaho - as Deleted is mentioning you can create Adepta Sororita career by editing your basic profile after creating a career.

The reason for not including an Adepta Sororitas career in the initial selector is one of convenience. We could potentially end up recreating the selector each time a new career path is added.

With regard to your question about the Elite Ranks we will definitely include them at some point. For now we are working on developing the basic functionality so for now these Elite Ranks are postponed a little.

Cheers,

Thomas

Fantastic, as always.

Request: Include the Divinations, with their modifications to starting characteristics.

Also, in addition to the "roll" functions, perhaps being able to select the different values for build, hair, eyes, etc? Perhaps as a drop-down menu?

Hi Darth Smeg - thanks for the nice words. :-)

With regard to the divinations - these are already in the pipeline. I cannot say when they will be finished.

We currently have no plans to include drop downs for the builds, height, etc. but we'll certaintly keep the idea it in mind.

Cheers,

Thomas

site gone

A Danish domain name? Could it be? Are there other Danes in here as well?

Test test æøå æøå!

Hi all,

It's true, we had some problems with our server hosting, and the site has been down from time to time. We have made some serious threats to the company and unless they are not intimidated by the prospect of ' purification by plasma ' we won't see this problem again.

We have been playing D&D for a while now, which explains the lack of activities on our site. However, we have just engaged in Only War and will most likely look into DH2 when it is released - ahhhh, it's good to be back. With a little luck we will start make some handouts and other stuff for malleus.dk in near future.

...and yes, we all live in Copenhagen, Denmark - but our minds are the same place as everybody else in here - a place where everybody can hear you scream, but no one cares :D

Hi - thanks for the nice words and reporting the broken link.

Here is the correct link: www.malleus.dk/Ordo/NpcGenerator/Default.aspx

Thomas

You would save some confusion if you edited this proper link into your original post.

There are indeed a few danes on this forum ;)

Warhammer 40k is quity popular in Herning, Denmark, just amongst my own friends we have several copies of the same books, and only missing the lathes and book of jugdement for the full set.

Back to the topic

I like the feature of saving and editing a character on the site, but personally I prefer to make it with pen and paper :)

Copenhagen has a few DH, DH2, RT, BC and OW groups running as well - that I know of.

Keep up the good work fellows! If you're open to further supporting the site, I can provide Lathes and BoJ

Edit:providing contact info so you can nab the books
