Anyone around this area playing regularly? My local store is Madness Comics and Games in Plano, but not a whole lot of people playing on the weekends (at least not yet). Let me know!

After posting this question I found out that Madness Comics and Games will be running X-Wing Organized play on Thursday nights starting this week. So if you are in the North Dallas/Plano Area and want to play some X-Wing, please come by. I believe they will be starting tournaments at around 5pm, but you will probably want to call ahead to be sure.

They have a massive gaming area that will be even bigger when they move down the way (same intersection, just different storefront).

I should be in the Dallas area next week...I am planning on bringing a "travel kit" for xwing...wouldn't mind playing a few games (100pts) provided everything works out for my trip.

Saturday nights work great for me. I've been up there the last few weekends, not sure why you are having issues finding people. I've met up with a few different people over the past few weeks. I don't always play x-wing all day, but if you ask Tony at the store he can find me pretty easily. I also am tentative for this Saturday unfortunately, but might be free next Saturday 9/14 as normal. I can't make it this weekend or possibly next (I already have plans and tentative plans next weekend), but I should be able to make it on the 21st. I think board game nights are on Saturday night too, so there should be plenty of people there. I might also be able to make it to a Thursday night event. Did they hold an even this past Thursday?

Is any one planning on showing Thursday? Just wanted to check before I pack my ships up.

Well, I'm in the Dallas area and plan on showing up on Thursday for some games, hopefully some of you guys will be there.

I will be there on Thursday (I should be there between 5:30-6pm). I'm bringing my X-Wing stuff and maybe another game (such as Warhammer Invasion).

By the way, I stopped in the store today to ask if they had an actual organized event and the guy at the counter didn't know anything about it.

I stopped by yesterday also.....awesome store. Same response from the guy behind the counter, although he did say they would have their wave 3 ships in today. I will be there on Thursday for some games, see you there.

I've been bugging them about starting a league night for weeks. I harassed them about the Game Night kits recently too. Every time I ask, they seem disinterested. I get the impression they are apathetic about all things not Magic.

Just keep pressing them...or ask if you can be the organized play representative for the store for xwing....if they agree, you can contact FFG about ordering the game night kits for the store.
