Hello!
Is anyone here obsesed as I am with the interceptors? I know there is a topic on interceptors but it has gone off topic. I am trying to play 4 interceptors only untill I become good at it. I really dont play to win, just to enjoy combinations and make themed squads.
For now I have:
Saber Squadron:
Fel+elusiveness
Turr + Swarm Tactics
Fels Wrath
Saber Squadron Pilot
Avenger Squadron x4 + 4shield upgrades.

I'm loving the Squints as well. I tried an all Stealth Device config:

I also have a Firespray/Squint comb that I want to try. At the last local tourney the big ships did very well. I think it's time to start including them a lot more.

I was up agaisnt a Falcon and 2 Ys with Ions, I could never get out of the line of fire, so the SDs didn't help much. Also had a match against a couple squints and a Firespray. Bad dice rolling killed me there. It was ugly. I think some tweaks and it could work. Soontir really needs PTL. Maybe give Saber Determination or something to give him a bit of survivability since PTL is 3 points vs 2.
Maybe Soontir just needed his bloorstripes, I had not painted them yet.
If you're not tied to running only interceptors, I've been running Mauler w/ Swarm Tactics as an honary interceptor. This setup costs 1 point more than an Alpha Squadron and you can boost the firing order of an Alpha way up. Of course, the first game I played last night with Swarm on Mauler + interceptors, I played against a 3 ship rebel squad with Wedge, Horton, and Luke and Swarm Tactics was wasted points.

My opponenets had a little bit of everything. When running the stealth devices I consistantly take evade as my actions. It never fails though sooner or later you just roll a handful of blanks and take a hit. I lost all the stealth devices and two of the four Ints but I was still happy with the performance.
A note on the Firespary: Dang, I wish you could take more than one bomb! Three would be awesome and just pay the cost for each one.
