Headstrong (probably covered before...)

What exactly does this card do? I would think it lets you play "off position" blocks, such as a high block on a low attack. You still would take half dmg if you don't "completely block" an attack correct?

Does it also let you play a foundation that doesnt chain resource symbols? It says "...you may play any block card against this attack, even if it woudl normally be illegal".

Im used to see wording like "that you could normally play" so this kind of dumbfounds me.

Thanks

You can block an high attack with a low block and vice-versa.

You can also block with a card that break your ressource chain, but if you do, from now on you will only be able to play block using headstrong R first.

mmm... did i made myself clear on the last one?

Clear.

You can also use it to bypass effects like Red Gi or Soul Power.

The only thing it can't get around is "Unblockable" because there IS NO block step.

If you break into your opponent's house and steal a Blood Runs True from them, that's also illegal. However I suspect that that was not the intent of the card designers.

"Before you attempt you block your opponent's attack, you may play any block card against this attack, even if it would normally be illegal."

Breaking into your opponent's house and stealing is not "playing any block card", so I don't think that comes into it.

What if you play your opponents stolen BRT as a block?

Actually i am going to keep a stack of +0L, +0M, and +0H blocks next to me and play those as blocks. Since ordinarily playing cards not in your deck/hand would be illegal.

disclaimer: no one is really going to think im serious right?

well, in case you were serious, you have to play the block, which means going through all of the motions of playing a card.

reveal card
make check
pass
place into card pool

the only thing that can be illegal is the play of a card you normally cannot play. NOT the adding of a card to your hand that you did not have, or anything else of that nature.

So basically you're saying it is legal to add cards to your hand from outside the game? LOL.
