I am working with the staff at Play the Game Read the Story to organize an X-Wing league and/or regularly scheduled play time for X-Wing players in the Syracuse and Central New York area. So far the ideal time for the store is Wednesday nights, however, this is movable. Let me know what your thoughts are and we will try to work something out to accommodate the majority of players and the stores ability to support our game time.

Also we are exploring Free-Play prize support and Buy-In game play. I will post more on this in the future and see what works best for players. The intent is to get a regular group of players together for both casual enjoyment and also allow for competitive players to sharpen their skills for upper level events. I would like to see upper level events held by this store since they already host a variety of major events for other well established games.

This post is a bit old, but was curious if this idea ever got wings? I have not heard of any other organized play in Syracuse, so any info would be appreciated!

I'm from out of town, but grew up in the area. When I visited this past weekend, I asked the folks working at the store about their X-Wing community. They mentioned there are around 6~8 regular folks playing X-Wing in the area at their Clinton Street store. Also, based on their calendar they hold a X-Wing event every month. Not sure how often they get together and play on regular week days.

Also, it looks like Comix Zone hosts X-Wing events and gameplay on Friday nights. I haven't checked them out, but I may. I'm looking for a place to play when I come visit Syracuse. Let me know if you get a chance to check Comix Zone out to see how they are.
