Hello all. I have been away for a year - the game died in our country pretty roundly - but a few friends and myself are in the process of resurrecting it. I figured I would return to the character which I originally played with success way back in 2006/7 and even 2008. I loves me some ninja.

I have madea point of omitting certain cards which are nigh unobtainable - Chester's Backing, Feline SPike and pretty much anything other than commons from Realm of Midnight - so this deck is built with what I have that survived rotation and what I can get from CCS and EBizzle. Enjoy...

A few points...

- Shrike Dash is in there for themed hilarity. And a great way to bait blocks for Forward Kick. Melancholic will go in for competitive matches.

- Is there any other real easy momentum generation for Air? White Magic and Natural Leader sort of pale besides the brokeness that was Whereabouts Unknown

- Going second and throwing Forward kick on my first turn may be hilarious and result in turn 1 death for the opponent, but is there any easy way to push it through other than perhaps Through the Defenses or costly speed pumps? Wind Dance does look nice however....

- Is Backslash worth playing?

first off i would say take out brash confidence for wind dance its too good with forward kick not to

second if you dont have lord of the makais you pretty much have the basic momentum gen for air except for maybe aim high which adds a block to your momentum but isnt that great

third If you can get your hands on KoF 06s you should add them to the deck as well to help with stripping your opponents hand to hanzo kick them to death...id say taking out the iga legacys since you only need them to play the shrike dash**...which your going to replace with melancholic anyways as you said

but lastly no i dont think backlash is playable with hanzo at least because most of your attack are going to the bottom anyways

Have you thought about Family Tradition? Not quite as good as Whereabouts but it can gain you momentum fairly fast, especially if you have a way of cancelling the effect itself. Doubles as a decent way to get attacks back into hand too. Nice card if you can get it.

Appreciate the help guys. Unfortunately cards like KoF 2006 are not about to make themselves apparent to me. Nor are Angel of Evening or White Magic. It's a common!!!

Unil I can find a few of these I will substitue Wind Dance for Angel of Evening and Aim High for White Magic.

As to KNee GAtling - I looked at it but each attack in the deck at the moment serves a purpose. Rising Rage Flash lets me look at my opponent's hand before throwing Forward Kick (which is the loop death), Melancholic/Shrike Dash are kill cards and Shadow Strike works twofold in that it is a solid attack and allows me to use anything put to the bottom. Knee Gatling just isn't as versatile.

Nice to know it's relatively solid considering the lack of a secondary market at the moment. Cheers all.

yes the great thing about this game is you dont hafta have the $1000 cards to win...

anywho you could also try military combat arts...it's an uncommon from snk04...while not as good as KOF 06, it still gets cards away from their hand and gets u 2 momentum...from your hand but you hafta give a little 2 get a little i guess

la superba puts 2 cards from your staging area to your momentum if it's like a kill turn or if youre willing to take the risk, and professional soldier adds 1 without having to commit....

Updated because I managed to get Lord of the Makai. Swapped some cards around too - Omnidirectional... for Risisng Rage Flash for the Momentum and because it works with Wind Dance, Natural Leader for Wind Dance and White Magic for LotM. Opinions on swapping Iga Legacy for Natural Leader? It seems expensive for 2 Momentum, but the potential use is high in this deck and I don't think I will use Iga Legacy all that much if I swtich Melancholic for Shrike Dash.

Thanks to Gou and more money than sense the deck has changed for the borken. I have also tweaked a few things after playing it. The one thing I have found it does incredibly well is live!! Tira's Contract, Angel of Evening and amazingly high CCs with everything having a Block means I nearl lived through 2 fully multiplied Rolling Storms (Legacy Talim) plus several Clones/Kunai. Died on about the 14th multiple. ANyway, here is deck.
