As I am moving and go all the way through an ateriod do i still flip turn at the end or is that considered losing my action and it turns into a red straight?
If i do a red flip and go through an asteroid….
The answers you seek are on page 17 and 20 in the rulebook. 17 under "important" and 20 under "obstacles."

The part that's missing from the text description of page 17 in the post above is the visuals - it should read:
I would say so, Zig. The reason I referenced page 17 is because overlapping a SHIP causes you to not execute the k-turn. It says absolutely nothing about obstacles. And there isn't anything in the Obstacles section that says otherwise, so yes, you still perform the k-turn maneuver regardless of the asteroid, although you still suffer the effects of the asteroid.
Ok now i am confused. I thought if you pass completely through an obstacle or other ship and were completely clear no matter what move you made it was if you flew under or over said obstacle or ship. With no damage roll or loss of actions.

You suffer consequences with asteroids. You can move through other ships without consequences, assuming there's no overlap or base touching at the end of the movement.
For asteroids, there are 3 possibilities of bad effects that you have to consider as soon as 1 or 2 of the following happens: template goes through asteroid and/or ship ends on asteroid (overlap):
A) end position not overlapping: roll red die for potential dmg + lose action
B) end position overlapping: roll red die for potential dmg + lose action + no shooting for you. If your front pegs are not on the asteroids, then that's that. Proceed as normal for the next move
C) if you're in situation B BUT your front pegs are over the asteroids, meaning you'll have to exit the asteroid by going through it again, you'll suffer the consequences again, as is done in scenario A.

Oh yeah, and add a stress token on top of all that too.
How ironic, hothie, that this is the exact situation I found myself in against you on Sunday, and it helped you destroy me next turn…
