SPACE STUFF!!

I think that it would be cool if FFG would release some "Space Junk" expansion where every item affects you differently.

for example:

Nebulae Clouds- whenever you travel through a cloud you roll a dice and if its a hit you take an ion token, you can shoot from within a cloud but it can only be range 1 or 2 max

Turrets- (only for Death Star maps) they will be circle with a diameter of Range 1, you roll 2 die and take a hit accordingly, however you can still attack if you are overlapping or you can still take actions or both

Space Debris- (like torn up cruisers and such) for these the moment you land on the token you take an automatic hit but you can still take actions

Abandoned Proximity Mines- (from battles past) for this one we can use the same rules as the slave 1 mines

Comets- every turn the players alternate to move the comet a 1 FWD (between the pegs or nubs only, so that it moves in a straight line) when it goes off the map you start another on the opposite side with the player who's turn it is selecting the spot. If hit you automatically take 2 hits because of the force of the impact.

Each obsticle will have their own amount ( like asteroids there's six, turrets can be 3, clouds can be 4 etc.)

Manx the way you choose is that both players vote for the one they want and if they disagree then they can roll for it or flip a coin or whatever.

I think it would be pretty cool if they did it, it would add variety

I've actually been working on some of this myself. I'm presently working on Nebulas with stretching out cotton balls, and to make a minefield I'm taking the token from the slave 1 box, traced it onto some foam core, painting it up like my board, then using some low guage wire to stick some green-stuffed proximity mines modeled after the card.

I'll throw up some pics when I'm done.
