HI had a game the other day at about 300pts and took my falcon tooled up with chewy, luke,push the limit,millenium falcon,assault missiles, engine upgrade. was an exellent game as I was up agains a massive tie swarm, fired the assault missiles bang into the centre of the swarm and damaged the target ship--it says on the assault missile card that it causes 1 damage to any ship within range 1, well my opponent had plenty of ships within range 1 of the target ship to maximise his pilot abillities.so the end result is that he ended up with about 6 ships with 1 damage on each. my question is then that can these damaged ships use their evade tokens or roll evade dice against this. my opponent suggested not so we went with this, any ideas?

Only the ship that was targeted by the Assault Missile is able to spend evades, or use a focus token. If the missile hits then the damage is applyed and all ships within range 1 suffer 1 hit. Those ships just take the damage as an effect. They don't roll to evade, or spend tokens. They just suffer the damage.
