Antediluvian Dreams Spoiler

Love the art on Ludvinsky ! The blood splatters in the background behind the perfectly rendered cigar-smoke are just excellent. And WHAT is that he has across his shoulder? Shouldn't he be running instead of having a smoke?

Great stuff.

Lots of blood. And mud. Two Hennings, one Bocchio.

Cornered Man offs two opponent characters. Lots of mid-struggle disrupts going on in the world of Julia. Safe to assume the two combat struggles would happen concurrently, before arcane? The tentacle shadow realism is surely good camp cthulhu in the detail, nice but standard. Highest cost neutral Investigator, at 4. Three combat, only Yithian Soldier and Bloated Star Vampire have four, G-Men, five. Speaking of old AE G-Men, they are the only other guys, until Cornered Man, that are heroic with toughness.

Muddy Waters, face down and icky, not unlike cafeteria lady's face, but not as good as Mulder - both Bocchio's. He's an odd one. Exhaust to exhaust, hmm. For cost two, wouldn't cthulhu rather text box blank with Forgotten Isle? Refresh a domain with Temple of Dagon? Does slow down Yig.

Howard Ludvinski. Good old Henning gets a nod. It's his tenth card, and an homage. He gave us Nodens, after all. He gets a new and deserved subtype - artist. It's a much finer effort than Cornered Man. Real ambiance, more blood, looks like Street-Smart Rookie. Classic private eye office, campy, colorful, good use of lighting, smoke, blood, and vodka. What is an MU character doing vanquishing a monstrosity by force? What is with that tentacle, indeed? The pose and view of the soles of his shoe are reminiscent of newer Dingus Wilmarth, whom it is widely know I just hate. Still beautiful. Not since High Priest of Hastur, has one been able to copy a story card. The priest needed it in play (not in your own won pile), more powerful perhaps, but at cost 5. Howard can do it twice in a row, other than opponent turn. Can MU assure such story victory in a four cost character? I guess after Investigate rush, MU might be clinging to only one story, and could use the push. But which story fits MU best here?

Shame Henning doesn't work on conspiracies. Still, it can be quite handy using a story effect on a more opportune time rather then just when you are going to end your turn.

Wou, this guy rocks !! This is crazy illustration !

cornered man is awesome. this will almost always make the other player over commit for combat. this guy and chess prodigy could really create a mess. unspeakable resurrection this guy on the defense. i havent even played it yet and i think this is my favorite new card.

REALLY too bad somebody decided to crop off the left side of the Ludvinski illustration.

Even more awesome in the original.

Cornered Man, I like the artwork and it matches the concept, nice flavour. I wonder how much play it will see

being a 4 cost neutral.

Muddy waters, decent artwork that provokes creepyness. One of Julias' gentleman callers?

Dude! That's why they call'em 'one night stands'. At 2 cost and exhaust I question it's merit though.

Howard Ludvinski, visiting artist ?! For me the artwork is corny and over the top. An artist with a tentacle

slung over his shoulder?! The ability seems like somebody was grasping for straws with this one.

I expect better than this but then for every 2-4 sweet cards a turd is bound to drop occasionaly.

There are now a good number of corn cthulhu cards, some great, others less so. Here's a list that comes before Henning's new "Oakland Chaosium" card - named after the mythos card that started it all. It's all promos and asylums. I don't recall if they ever "went there" within the two blocks, except maybe add Assistant to Dr. West.
