I was looking over the X-Wing FAQ and needed a clarification for "Modified Match Win - 3 points". What is a modified match win?

A modified match win is when a player wins by having more points left. A match win is when he destroys all of his opponents ships.

A match win is when a player destroys all the opponent ships as described but also, if this hasn't happened and time is called on a game, you count up the remaining ship points for each side. If a player has 33 or more points over her opponent, she gets a Match Win as well. If she has more points left over than her opponent but less than 33 points, she gets a modified win instead.
