Couple of questions i need answers to please.

By juice950, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

1)Siege of winterfell agenda says (You cannot claim power for your house except during military challenge) so to me I thought that meant you can only claim power during military challenges ofr your house, but other people I play online are claiming power for their house after winning unopposed power challenges. They claim only the one unopposed power Can they do this?

2) Can't remember the challenge it was but someone beat me 10 to 2 in a challenge and drew four cards cause he said it's a rule that if you beat someone with a score of 8 or more total strengh you draw four cards. Is that true?

thanks

  1. No, they can't. They can move the power from your House to theirs for the claim (since moving power is not the same as claiming it), but definitely not claim power for unopposed in a power or intrigue challenge.
  2. It's absolutely false. First, there is no such rule. Second, the rules say no player is allowed to draw more than 3 cards beyond the normal 2 in the draw phase in a single round.

I suggest you hit those players (hard) over the head with the rulebook and a printout of the FAQ.

thank you

That's one of the craziest things I've ever heard. That's not a misinterpretation of a rule, that's a completely made up rule. I can't even imagine the circumstances under which someone would think that was a rule (unless they're just brazenly cheating).
