Yes, but you're occupying *two* investigators for multiple turns to do it. Pete+ your Lore/Money character. And you can't really have anybody else shop either, because you'll get yourself into the situation where you won't have the desired item on the bottom of the deck anymore. And once the terror reaches 3 the usefulness of the ability plummets, if the terror reaches 6, it plummets again.
Dexter may be a favorite, but I have yet to hear an argument as to why he is so good to be in the top 5 investigators...
. If you mean top 5 as per the AH Stats report (as in the pure number of games featuring said investigator), then first need to look at the facts. Of the top 10, ALL are base game investigators (so there is basically a 1/3 chance for any base game investigator to be in the top 5). Top 20 has all 16 base game investigators. League Scenarios I think have also contributed to the "popularity" of the base game investigators. When you play with random investigators, like I do, you can get odd draws. There was a good stretch of about 20 games in a row where I never saw Carolyn Fern. Since I only redraw if an investigator was in the previous game, same investigator could appear in games #1, #3, #5, etc. I don't redraw because I happened to draw someone I hate. As to Dexter, too lazy to check my "popularity" for him, but I won't even rank (as in going by how well he does in a game/how powerful an investigator is) him in my top 20. Note that I only have AH + DH, so that's 24 investigators total
