Highlander - Rockford, Il

By Broadway_Punk, in Olympus Coliseum

If you live in the Rockford area and are looking for a tourney, we have one for you! The Robin's Nest on State Street is holding a Highlander tourney on 3/20/09 from 6 - 9. We traditionally hold tourneys on Friday nights from 6 - 8 at "The Nest" and hope to gain many more players. This coming Friday (3/13/09) is standard rules (so far we've run Neverland and a Coliseum rules), so prepare your deck as such. The following week is Highlander; rules for deck construction are on-line. We hope to see you there!

P.S. Be prepared to meet some weird people, including (but not limited to) Giggles, Tofu, and (your's truly) Gaston!

i wass wondering how muuch it is to enter free would probably get me there and then also how do prizes work for the tourny

Good question, sorry I forgot put it there. Entry, as of now, is $1 per person (this is standard for KH tourneys); prizes will consist of the cards provided. However, there is a possiblity of additional prizes (we usually have four additional boosters that go to the top 3 places); although, I believe the idea was nixed as it would increase the entry fee. Also, if you need further directions, ask here and I will be happy to post them.

ok so to clarify

highlander $1.00-prizes-soras possible packs

normal tourny-$1.00-prizes -packs or promo soras???

Normal Tourney - $1; Prizes: Boosters to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd places.

Highlander - $1; Prizes: Promo Sora for all (unless WAY more people show up), Foil Promo Sora for many, Foil Promo Kairi for 6.

Also, in a new development, I may have to be at a play rehearsal that night (I'm not Broadway_Punk for nothing), so I gotta figure out some stuff with the people involved. I only say this in case you were looking forward to meeting me, as I may not be in attendance (or, if I am, not for long).

this friday i have school so i wont be able to make it but if you meant you might have to miss highlander then sad.gif but maybe youll have another tounry there and we can meet

We do have regular tourneys. Fridays from 6 - 8; $1, Booster prizes. This occurs regularly.

UPDATE: Highlander Tourney's price at our location has gone up! $5 a person. Still hope people will come.

are there packs for prizes now??????

This information is, as of now, unknown to me. Actually, I'm not even the one who arranges the tourneys, I'm just the one on this site the most.
