Can heel snipe's come into play ability be negated by red lotus of the sun (the commit part) as red lotus say's plays an ability and techniqly heel snipes ability is not being played???

You cant respond to this one in particular because the ability is not played and the R is looking for a played ability. But in the case of something like fight for the future, you could respond to the draw for instance, but not respond with something that responds to a played draw ability.

Thank you, for some reason i was unable to find it elsewhere, and asumed Heel Snipe was slang for a card.
