Well I don't think that FFG can anyway speed up their shipments as they are not the ones moving them. FFG workers are not driving the deliveries to port and loading/offloading them to ships to get them to differend countries.

Once I got notification that my preordered book had come to local retailer shop and I was jumping with joy. After I got to said shop, they had to apologies me that it seemed that the whole shipment from FFG had to be send back. All the books and games in that one delivery were soaked because dockworkers had left that one in the rain for whole week as they where on strike.

So I was frustrated whit the dockworkeres for doing lousy job not FFG.

I just wanted to point these things up and if it seems I poured promethium on flames, it wasn't the intention. It just seems you have bad retailer shops and such in UK.

Did you think about why they were on strike? Showing support for thier fellow workers isn't what I'd consider "doing a lousy job" and this event had the potential to catch your attention by making you think about individuals we seldom consider. I'm pretty sure their frustrations were greater than yours in this instance.

If those useless pukes let all that merchandise go to a loss because they were too lazy to secure it where it would not be damaged then yes, they did a "lousy job".

Still no sign of a release in the UK.

And of course no interest or explanation from FFG.

As usual.

Also in the UK and I got mine mid last week.

I did notice however that it went out of stock again pretty much straight away so I guess they only had very limited supplies.

Usually I find I can get most of the releases 1 - 2 weeks after the US release date.

Agree amazon is not worth ordering through. Infact I'm sure I read there was deliberate FFG policy to supply Amazon last - which if true I think is a good thing to support the more specialised retailers.

Anyhoo seeing as you are still waiting for your copy I won't rub it in by saying I am enjoying the book so far. ;)

Securing product is the company's issue here, not the issue of the striking workers. Those 'useless pukes'- as you call them - were willing to stand up for themselves and do what they felt was necessary, and I doubt being lazy had anything to do with it. Your attitude towards them is offensive.

No sign of Tome of Excess on Esdevidiums release list this week again…although the new Star Wars RPG and Only War book are on there. Could be this is another Deathwatch: The Outer Reach scenario…i.e. it doesnt get made available to gaming stores in the UK till a few months after its official street date.

Securing the product is the responsibility of the shipping agency once they take possession of said product. Once FFG releases the product to the shippers it is out of their hands. The fact that you cannot recognize this and follow up with appeals to emotion and whining about being "offended" says a lot.

Still no release or explanation from FFG. Pretty pathetic really.

OK, I used the word company to refer to the shipping agency, not to FFG. And I still say that it is the problem of the company/shipping agency and not of the workers - they are not the same. And you're being offensive again.

Ok, I'm going to try to help you with this...and in regards to your tender sensibilities and fragile psyche, I'll type slow. If the WORKERS (who are employed by the shipping agency) let the product stay on the dock and get wet, and said "hey guys, let's go on strike...oh what? This stuff? Psshh. What do I care, I'm on strike man!" Then it is their fault. I would've had a ton more sympathy for their "plight" if they had secured the product then went on strike. They have clearly, by their actions (or better yet...the lack thereof) that they don't care for their jobs.

Also, get it through your thick skull. I don't care if you're "offended". Your feelings mean nothing to me.You seem to think that crying how "offended" you are will somehow cause me to back off or change my argument for those lazy schlubs. It doesn't. So go wring your hands, or cry, or talk to your therapist, but know this. I'm not at all concerned for your feelings.

Or rather, that they care more for their human dignity rather than wage slavery.

I think it's time for me to test the Ignore options of these new forums.

That's certainly how I see it.

It's annoying that I doubt my GM will let me use much from this book, he banned me from playing Slaanesh aligned characters since I was apparently unnerving some of the group last time I did :(

Still though, the book looks awesome in of itself, can't wait to give it at least a read!

Or, more likely, extortionist demands for more money (in an economy that shows little sign of being able to sustain it) while demanding more time off. Or, in other words, more pay for less work. Evidence: ruined pallets of product. It's ok though, I'm sure they would approve of your appeal to emotion...

OHNOES! whatever shall I do??

Weird how the economy can always sustain more profits for the upper class but never for workers.

Whilst talking about the excess of wealth is certainly in keeping with Slaanesh, I think we're drifting.

I think this thread drifted a long time ago unfortunately.......

Time to break out the flamers...

Time to break out the flamers...

Flamers? Not enough.

Engage the teleportarium, arm the nova cannon and prepare to nuke the thread from orbit.

It's the only way to be sure.

Seems like on the Forums just few poorly chosen words can seemingly spread the Flames of War.

Well Slaanesh has to wait for my PC groups souls still little further. But I will make use of Social combat and Superior Minion on my Only War game.

But I think Slaanesh will be pleased with Dark Eldar Souls that shall haunt the Nightmares and real world of PC's.

kinda shcoks me this topic has been pulled off course so much you'd think bans and post deletions would imemediatly come with politics

Still no release as of this week.

And still not one word uttered from FFG. Hopeless. Perhaps they've given up and have simply put everything into that new Star Wars game.

They redesign these forums (still useless - there's no quick cross forum navigation option unlike every single other web forum ever created) but can't be bothered to talk to their customers.

Why would they comment?

My copy finally shipped (from an Australian retailer).

BYE

Yep I've even got my copy all the way here in Australia, quite satisfied!
