TeveshZhat:
as there isn't a topic covering this yet, i just open a new one. idea is to post your planets in here. and here's the first ( and hopefully not last ) one. critisism allowed and welcome.
Zel Secundus
Zel Secundus ( also called “Green Hell†) is covered with deep, dark and moist jungles, and is one of the deadliest planets in the Calixis Sector, if not the deadliest.
+++PLANETARY DATA+++
EQUATORIAL CIRCUMFRENCE: 24’230 mi
GRAVITY: 1.12g
CLASS: Death World
SUBSECTOR: Drusus Marches
YEARS AND DAYS: The standard year for Zel Secundus is 323 days with an axial rotation of 43 hours.
SATELLITES: None.
POPULATION: Approximately 15’000.
MEAN SURFACE TEMPERATURE: 34,8c to 57,1c
TROPOSPHERIC COMPOSITION: As the surface is completely covered with jungles, there is much oxygen in the air. Oxygen 24%, Nitrogen 58%, CO2 11%, Others 7%.
PLANETARY GOVERNER: Zel Secundus has only two populated settlements. The largest is Station HX-887, a research station of the Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis. The second is Station BF/G331, another Adeptus Mechanicus settlement. The actual research there is secret, but it is possible that there is a testing facility for weapons.
RELIGION: As the only settlements are research stations of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the main religion is the Cult of the Omnissiah.
CLIMATE: Hot and moist all the year.
CLIMATIC REGIONS: Zel Secundus has no special regions, the only difference between the polar regions to the equatorial zone is in the equatorial belt it rains more.
ALIEN FLORA AND FAUNA: The Adeptus Mechanicus Biologis classified 92% of the native fauna as hostile, 54% of this number is potentially leathal to humans. Most notable here are the so-called Deathclouds, Venerian Mosquitos and the Dragonpanther. On the other hand, the flora is not much less hostile than the fauna. Although only 67% are declared hostile, this number is enormous, thinking that we are talking of plants. The most dangerous plants are the Bloodtree and the Spitter-Fungus. Also see File 344-21.
ECONOMY: Throne Gelt is the currency used.
SOCIETY: As mentioned above, the two main settlements are Adeptus Mechanicus facilities. While HX-887 is relatively open to visit, every craft approaching BF/G331 will be shot down without warning when it enters a 100km killzone around the vicinity. Strangely, from time to time an Officio Assassinorum Mortis-Class Cruiser appears on the southern hemisphere, deploying a black, unmarked dropshuttle and vanishes again. This suggests that somewhere in the jungles an Officio Assassinorum facility is located. Looking closely on the plantary details, it is possible that the Venomar Shrine has a training centre there, maybe Callidus as well.
WATER SUPPLY: Due to the high air moisture, there are no problems with the water supply.
PRINCIPLE EXPORTS: None.
PRINCIPLE IMPORTS: Food and supplies for the Adeptus Mechanicus facilities.
COUNTRIES AND CONTINENTS: As only 6% of the planet is covered with water, there are no continents or islands.
CONFLICTS: The only conflict on Zel Secundus is the fight against the native fauna and flora.
DEFENCES: Planetary Surface-to-Orbit batteries around BF/G331 and HX-887, as well as a standing force of 7’500 Adeptus Mechanicus guards ( 4’500 stationed at BF/G331, 3’000 at HX-887 ).
IMPERIAL GUARD RECRUITMENT: None.
CONTACT WITH OTHER WORLDS: There are stable warp routes to Lo, 88 Tanstar and Endritt.
