UFS Patch Redemption

By JChang, in UFS General Discussion

Ok, after talking to boot2dahead this past weekend he had informed me that we weren't going to get our patches back if we trade it for the promos. Well, I don't know if FFG has figured out a situation for this for everyone to keep their patches, but I figured if we trade it in for the promos they can write it down and hold on to our patches and they can mail it back to us. That's to ensure that we don't give it to others to trade it in for more promos and such.

Again I don't know if it has been settled but this is just an idea. I guess I could've posted this in some other area, but I figured I'd do it here because I'm lazy right now.

i've already brought this up with Steve and he said he'd try and get something like that worked out since he doesn't want all the patches back... what method he'll use i don't know though.

Ha my mate has stitched his to his bag :)

How about this, all who want to redeem the patches has to enter the tournament. In the 1st round of the tournament, the tournament organizers travel around each table and complete the redemption process during the round and only that round only... does it work?

oh lawl

oh lawl so much

Wah!!!
That sux!!!

My patches are all sewn to my UFS bag (or 'man-bag' as it was previous monikered), having to remove tham all would sux the worst!!!

Oh, and thanks for laughing at my pain Tuesday, you all suck (but not as bad as losing all me patches) lengua.gif

Couldn't all the players present just have to give their name and present their patches, then they can't claim any more after their name has been taken? Kinda like all or nothing, coz I think giving out patches instead of say vouchers made it a bit misleading. My poor bag........llorando.gif

All they have to do is mark the back of the patch with a marker or something.

No mark = you get a promo!

Mark = no promo for you!

Problem solved.

Get out of my head J!!!

Could also use a bingo dabber or something.

Wait... what?!? Where'd you hear this?

They seriously want these things back?!? ... what are they going to do with them? Pass them out again?!?

Some people have done some interesting things with these patches so far, and its either going to be 1.) hard to get them to turn them in vs. show them and/or 2.) not worth it to be used again due to stress and damage of the patch...

So if you guys are turning them IN... man.. interesting... Good thing I'm not going (money money money money), cause I kinda wanted to keep mine anyhow...

They were more then likely doing it to prevent something like this.

5 guys go to the PotM event, they have one set (one of each) of patches between all of them. First guy goes and signs up gets his 13 promos, passes the same patches off to his buddy. Second guy goes up uses the same 13 patches gets 13 more promos. Repeat until the same 13 patches turn into 65 promos.

holy crap people, relax >_> or reread what i posted before... either way, here is what i suggested to Steve a couple days ago:
"One thing that might work is that people write what patches they have on the back of their decklists (which could be verified by staff as they turn in their patches) and the patches can be sorted into different boxes. Then, if the people want their patches back, they could go tell a staff member their name (sometime after registration closes and people are no longer able to turn patches in, thereby preventing the passing around of patches) and their decklist could be pulled out and the patches they had would be listed right there. "

Steve's reply: "Yea I'm sure we can work something like that out. I really don't want all of those patches back, kinda defeats the purpose of making them."

for those of you who sewn your patches onto something, i suggest taking an extra bag or something... the whole point of temporarily handing in the patches is so that people can't pass them around after getting their PotM promos... and personally i don't want marker on my patches >_>

so, lets say, in the USA, around 50+ players get 13 promos. few will get less. and one lucky might get the over 9000 jackpot.

i call for a redemption program! >_>

If they put it on the back you wouldn't see it from the front.
