A monster has physical immunity and magical immunity. I can't hit it with my Sword of Glory, nor with my Tommy Gun, but I can hit it with my fists? lol?

Yeaaaaah... I've wondered about that before. I decided that the way to picture it is that in this case you are doing something that is monster specific in order to destroy it ;') as opposed to direct combat. Hey, it's the only way I can rationalize it.
Well, I imagine it's similar to the reasoning used in the Shadowrun RPG:
Basically you're channeling your lifeforce/willpower (chi,ki, or whatever) through the direct, physical contact with these unspeakable horrors, partly negating their essence and weakening their ability to manifest in our reality.

...but not enough for a bullet spray to do any additional damage.
I just accept it as a necessary mechanic to make the game less complicated.
Maybe you find a rope/net whatever and tie the creature down in a dark alley, focusing on more urgent tasks?

What about when fighting a Ghost
:-P
I always thought about fight skill as the ability for the character to successfuly finish a confrontation; this means, to defeat the enemy so it will be a threat no more but not necessarily kill it. In this way, what "fight" does not mean only how hard your fists are, but the whole process instead: to discover a weak point on the enemy, to find out a way to use it, to avoid its attacks, etc. So, maybe, a physical/magical immune monster (let's call him Jason) could be chained to a stone and thrown to a lake (let's say, Crystal Lake
) so it will hurt nobody else... for a while...

You know, that may have made sense if it wasn't for the fact that after you kill if you slice off its hand and take it as a trophy
