Nephilim

By Tashiro, in Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG

So, a number of the players decided to play nephilim for my Anima campaign, and I'm trying to figure out how nephilim fit into society. Are they loners and outcasts of society, having to conceal their unusual features? Are they hunted as witches by the majority of civilizations? Are they considered 'odd', but part and parcel of society? Do people just shrug when they see these people?

I mean, my wife's character is jayan, so she stands 12 feet tall. Now, 12 feet tall people are not 'normal', but is this something people will just accept, or run screaming from?

I can't find anything describing how people react to nephilim, anywhere.

From what I've been able to piece together, since the majority of Nephilim apear human for all tense and purpose on the outside they are accepted as normal. It is the Nephalim characters themselves that are usually feeling like outcast cause the know they are different.

For the characters that are physically different… that largely depends on the campaign setting. If you are doing base Gaia in the areas controlled by the church… just rember.. "NO ONE ESCAPES THE SPANISH INQUISITION!" Superstitions run deep and though the players may take it as average day, the supernatural is not the norm for most NPCs, like villagers and townsfolk.
