Descent Second Edition Card Sizes

By player1060427, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I know this has probably been asked many times but I can not find a thread on it. I'm getting read to buy a copy of Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition so I'd like to just buy the sleeves I need at the same time and get it all in one shipment. So what are the card sizes?

In the rules it says there are 152 "small cards." According to wikipedia standard small size would be 1.75×2.625 inches (44×66.7 mm). I'm assuming this means I need to buy Mini European Board Game Sleeves for these cards.

Then there are 84 "Bridge-sized Cards" listed by wikipedia as 2.25×3.5 inches (57×89 mm). This would mean I nead some of your typical Standard American Board Game Sleeves .

Finally from what I've found the hero sheet size is 5x4 inches. For these I would need to buy some photo sleeves or some specially made Ultra Pro sleeves, like these , that I found online.

If you guys could confirm whether or not I have figured out the right size for all of the cards in Descent Second Edition I'd really aprecciate it since I have my money gun loaded, cocked and pointed right between Fantasy Flights eyes ready to fire.

After some extensive serching I think I may have answere my own question with this little beauty that I found on BoardGameGeek. It's a fantatic little archive entitled Card Sleeve Sizes for Games . Very helpful and in alphabetical order. I highly recommend it.

I'm still curious enough to have somebody from here confirm this information though. It also doesn't have the size of the hero cards. Am I right that they are 5x4?

FFG conveniently displays giant color coded boxes with numbers in them to let you know which sleeves to purchase. To see this in action go to http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_minisite_sec.asp?eidm=176&esem=2&esum=215 and click on the large graphic on the right with the green and yellow boxes. That will link you to what you need. As for the Hero cards, FFG makes no such sleeve, but you can find info on a guy that makes them here: http://boardgamegeek.com/article/9748256#9748256
