New to the game - this was sparked by Louis Plot that allows him to sacrifice favours for good baggage.

Is there a limit to the number of times a player can sacrifice in one turn? (beyond the number of favours he holds obviously)

Nope. A player can sacrifice as much as he wants during his turn.
